CT European Cafe & Grill was opened in 2011 by wife-husband team Alma and Ediee Zildzo who have history with European cuisine going all the way back to their childhoods in the former Yugoslavia. When the Bosnian civil war broke out, Alma and her family fled to Germany as refugees. While there, she worked in a restaurant gaining experience and recipes, including ones handed down from her mother and grandmother before immigrating to the United States. The restaurant's menu boasts more than ten specialty dishes including "Cevapi" and "Pljeskavica" while other menu items include Hungarian Goulas, German Schnitzel, and Chicken Paprikas. Alma`s desserts, meanwhile, cap off meals with sweet Crepes treats like Nutella Banana, Creamy Delight or Granny Apple. Customers can complement their meals with sips from gourmet coffee drinks made at the espresso bar or Croatian and German Beer.
