Da' Hui is a little chunk of Hawaii, as if one of the islands migrated up the Pacific and down the Columbia River and lodged itself in Portland. Part tiki bar and part old-fashioned diner, Da' Hui embraces kitsch with a black-and-white checked floor and portraits of Elvis and scantily clad ladies filling the walls. But just because the restaurant's fun loving doesn't mean it doesn't take the food and drinks seriously.

That means there's lots of Hawaiian favorites on the menu, including pulled-pork sliders, Spam and eggs, and teriyaki chicken. Plates are accompanied by the traditional two scoops of rice and potato mac salad. Drinks lean toward the colorful and fruity, with mai tais, piña coladas, and blue hawaiians so electric, they double as emergency lights in case of a power outage.
