After stumbling upon an unmanned camera during her sophomore year at NYU, Lacy Davillier devoted her studies to the photographic arts, earning a BFA in studio art with a focus on photography and graphic design. She found that the peace and seclusion of the dark room proved a welcome respite from the din of city traffic, the pressures of school, and the monotony of sunlight. The young yet experienced photographer now specializes in contemporary photography, chronicling weddings, maternity moments, and celebrating families on location or in her studio. This picturesque space on historic Canal Street, with its wood floors, original doors, and classic New Orleans porch, serves as a romantic backdrop for any manner of shoots, and is fully stocked with toys and organic juices for clients’ kids. Lacy also performs a variety of graphic-design services as well as photograph-restoration work.
