This may be due to the fact that each experience is divided into two stages, each two-to-four weeks apart, in order to let the bacteria and yeast do their magic and transform grape or grain into a flavorful adult beverage. Participants can later purchase the batches of wine or beer they crafted and bottled, which can come in handy the next time their hard-to-impress friends visit.
