About Denver Taco Festival

The city's best tacosmiths, taco-tiers, and taco-artisans bring their A-game to this year's Denver Taco Festival. Like any good taco, this weekend of food and fun is stuffed with variety, flavor, and excitement for everybody in the family (assuming they aren't androids who hate tacos and fun). Here's what to expect from this zestful weekend.

  • The Tacos: Enjoy a variety of tacos in an array of flavors and styles, from old-fashioned tacos to inventive fusion 'cos, served by an armada of local eateries (last year's fest featured over 33 taco vendors, this year could yield even more).
  • The Drinks: Guests enjoy mucho tequila (and we do mean "mucho") at the Tequila Expo, where over 40 types of agave-derived delight are enjoyed in a shaded tent. Also, the festival boasts "The best margarita at any event you will have this year. Guaranteed."
  • The Entertainment: Live Lucha Libre wrestlers take to the ring with a play-by-play from local comedians, and little short-haired daredevils compete for the title of "Fastest Chihuahua in Denver" at the Chihuahua Racing Championship
  • The Good Causes: Proceeds benefit local non-profits, including local Dog Rescue, where you might find yourself adopting one of those adorable racing chihuahuas
