Dillon's menu is a long list of home-style barbecue and American classics. Start with Southern staples such as an order of fried pickles ($6.99) or a prickly peach salad, a succulent mélange of peaches, craisins, and candied walnuts on mixed greens with prickly-pear vinaigrette ($8.99). The red-devil pork sandwich, a pile of pulled pork and smoked sausage marinated in a spicy Cajun sauce ($9.29), is an ideal selection for diners trying to reenact Backdraft in their mouths. Like all great barbecue joints, Dillon's offers a barnyard of meat selections, including St. Louis–style pork spare ribs ($16.99 for a half rack), smoked bone-in half chickens ($12.29), or a slow-smoked 12 oz. prime rib ($19.99). Pit masters encourage indecisive feasters with combination platters offering their pick of two ($17.99) or three ($19.99) meats and two classic barbecue sides.
Throughout the week, Dillon's caters to families and welcomes barbecue lovers of all ages. But, on Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant showcases live entertainment to celebrate the workweek's end. Dillon’s Restaurant began when co-owner George Valverde approached Rich Dillon to partner together to bring reality to Valverde’s vision.
That vision has now produced 3 locations. Dillon’s Arrowhead, located at 59th Ave. and the 101, opened in 2005 serving the gorgeous community of Glendale. The bar and restaurant hosts a crowd of enthusiastic golfers and sports fans, entertained by a live band on Friday and Saturday nights. The Patriot Room at the Arrowhead location is Dillon's salute to military personnel, past and present.
In November 2011, Dillon's at Wild Life World Zoo opened. This unique site hosts a 50,000 gallon shark tank right in the dining room while vibrant pink flamingos entice you to sit on the patio to enjoy their beauty.
