Dr. DiGeronimo makes 1-millimeter incisions in select spots on the love handles before inserting a small microcannula to suction out fat cells. After the procedure, an ultrasound treats the affected area to further improve skin tone and smooth the epidermis. Finally, customers can opt to have a compression garment placed on the area to help expedite healing for an additional fee (not included with your Groupon). Recovery times vary, though most patients return to normal activity within two weeks, and full results appear within three months as long as patients continue to wear the compression garment. The procedure takes two to four hours in its entirety, including a personal consultation with the doctor.
