Dr. Shahin Fazilat is a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He first bolstered his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland at College Park, where he graduated with honors. He went on to obtain his Medical Doctorate from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington DC, graduating in the top quarter of his class. He then completed his general surgery training at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
Throughout the entire educational process, starting form college education, Dr. Fazilat participated in research programs such as The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fellowship Program. The intensive work during this research let him become an author or at least co-author of more than a dozen publications.
Apart from the regular educational program realized in the school he gained specialized plastic surgery training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons/Harlem Hospital Center in New York.
