Fruit, when disguised as flowers, are still fruit. Today's Groupon gets you $60 worth of delicious fresh fruit masquerading as flowers for $35 at Edible Arrangements (pick-up or delivery). The fruit bouquets, which are preservative-free, come in more than 50 dashing displays and can include chocolate-dipped strawberries, apple wedges, bananas, and more. They're cut at the peak of freshness and ripeness, so the fruit is totally ready to eat when delivered to your Halloween party, Halloween office meeting, or fruit-loving loved one's forlorn, fruit-less front stoop decorated for Halloween (if no one is home, Edible Arrangements will leave a notification slip or leave the arrangement with a trustworthy neighbor).
Choose a festive fall arrangement such as the Delicious Fruit Design, chocolate-covered apple wedges with pineapple daises, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, and grapes arranged in a ceramic pumpkin ($76 for the small size, $86 for the regular). A box of white and dark chocolate–dipped bananas costs $25, and a fruit truffles bouquet (apple and pear bites in an assortment of gourmet chocolate, cinnamon chocolate, coconut, and almonds) costs $59 for a small, $85 for a large. There are fruit bouquets for kids, such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Fruit Shellebration ($59) and arrangements in honor of causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month ($59). Any arrangement can be customized by adding specialty containers, dipped fruit, a plush bear, or a Mylar balloon.
Flowers, with their bitter petals, smelly middles, and water-gobbling suckers, are unhealthier and less juicy than fruit. Edible and nicely arranged melon, grapes, oranges, and strawberries can be hypoallergenic conversation pieces or emergency sources of nutrition. Unlike Halloween candy, Edible Arrangements can be composted and are great with cereal. Plus, they float.
Delivery rates vary, but most Austin locations cost about $12—be sure to ask when placing your order. Your Groupon can be used toward the cost of delivery.

Common Charades and How to Pull Them Off
Today’s Groupon features fruit caught in a charade because they are attempting to masquerade as flowers. Here are some common situations in which you might be forced into a charade and how to fake it:
The Charade: Pretending to be happy that your girlfriend, Caroline, is breaking up with you.
How to Fake It: Say it’s for the best and explain that your tears are the result of a particularly sad episode of Knight Rider.
The Charade: Pretending to be happy at Caroline and Brad’s wedding.
How to Fake It: During your loud, mid-ceremony breakdown, explain to fellow guests that your tears are of joy and the result of a particularly joyous episode of Knight Rider.
The Charade: Pretending to be happy at Caroline’s Supreme Court justice swearing-in ceremony.
How to Fake It: Simply explain to the Secret Service agents that your rambling, incoherent interruptions were the result of an episode of Knight Rider in which Michael Knight realizes he’ll never feel love again and crashes KITT into a bus.
