Car-wash specialists with 60 years of experience enhance cars with soft cloths, glossy tri-color waxes & clear-coat protectants

Water thrives when under pressure, much like spelling-bee finalists and fast-food drive-thru operators at the Indy 500. Unleash pressurized power with today's Groupon: for $27, you get three VIP car washes at Elephant Car Wash (a $60.27 value). This Groupon is valid at locations in Auburn, Bellevue, Burien, Federal Way, Maple Valley, Tacoma, as well as on Battery Street and 4th South in Seattle.

Elephant Car Wash's towering, iconic, neon-pink sign represents 60 years of professional car-grooming experience. During the VIP wash, professionals clutch soft cloths to tenderly treat the shell of the car, batting away layers of road film, streaks of grime, and love notes left by tow trucks. A tri-color-wax application encases the body in a glossy luster before an armor of nonwax clear-coat protectant gilds the paint and forms a barrier between the postbath surface and any hazardous elements. Afterward, wash specialists shine tires and blast off coats of filth during a wheel cleaning, grooming the car's claws with tire dressing to redeem wheels after crossing over newly paved roads or starting fights with speed bumps.

After six decades—appearing in films and providing wash services to celebrities, athletes, and politicians—Elephant Car Wash builds upon its rich history cleaning cars by boasting computerized equipment and water-reclamation techniques in order to keep auto surfaces as reflective as a philosopher lost in the woods.

About Elephant Car Wash

For more than 60 years, Elephant Car Wash has resided on the cutting edge of car-wash technology. Archie, Dean, and Eldon Anderson founded the car wash in 1951 when they invented a hands-free machine that could clean cars and never be penalized in soccer. Thirty years later, they sold their shops to Bob Haney, who replaced the car-wash tunnels' plastic bristles with hybrid-blend cloths and high-pressure water nozzles. Nowadays, Elephant Car Wash features computer-operated tunnels that can read pH levels of dirt and—at certain locations—touchless car-wash tunnels that use high-powered water jets and potent detergents only.

Rotating above all of this technological progress is the car wash's signature pink elephant, which doubles as a polestar for drivers who need their vehicles washed, waxed, vacuumed, or shampooed. The trained staff waits outside the full-service car wash with towels and stages a slew of a la carte services including trunk vacuuming and leather conditioning. Elephant Car Wash works with the Puget Sound Car Wash Association and the Charity Car Wash Program, two organizations that strive to keep pollution out of waterways and inside the coffee mugs of Darth Vader.
