About Escapology

The Time Displacement Institute in Round Rock has something very powerful in its possession—a time portal capable of whisking people to different eras in order to prevent catastrophic events from occurring. When the sirens and alarms sound, groups of friends shoot back in time to resolve the crises, but they only have 60 minutes to solve a series of clues and puzzles before disaster strikes. That's the general scenario at Escapology Austin. Read on to learn just where the time portal will go:

  • Havana Cuba, October 1962: In Nuclear Annihilation, something has gone wrong in time, and Fidel Castro is about to launch nuclear missiles at the United States. Teams of 2–6 must work together to destroy a launch-code document that Fidel's brother, Ramon, hid. But Ramon is a master of game theory, and it won't be easy to save the U.S.

  • Atlanta, September 2013: In Extinction, the time portal deposits groups of 2–6 in Atlanta, where they must try locate an antidote to a virus due to kill millions of people in the Atlanta area. Friends must search the lab of the reclusive Dr. Walter Ryan, who created the antidote to the virus. The only problem is, the lab is due to explode the next day and when it does, the antidote will be lost forever.

  • Minnesota, 1932: In Assassination Express, 2–6 people go back in time to 1932 in order to stop a bomb from killing future president Franklin D. Roosevelt while he campaigns for the presidency in Minnesota. If they can't, the U.S. will fall prey to poverty and will never enter WWII, leaving Europe at the mercy of the Nazis. Groups must search the dining cart of the train for the bomb and then diffuse it before it's too late.

  • Cambridge, Massachusetts 2009: The infamous hacker known as “Nitro” has traveled back to the year 2009 with technology that exist today. He has managed to hack millions of bank accounts. If we do not fix this illegal change to the time-line, the world’s economic markets fail within days, sending the entire world into a deep economic depression and eventually, World War 3.

  • The North Atlantic, 1944: You are onboard the Steel Shark - the US Navy’s prized submarine, at the height of World War II. Without warning, the submarine plunges into the sea after being sabotaged by German secret agents. The engines have died and pressure in the cabin is quickly increasing. The hull is cracking under the immense pressure of the seabed and, without power, only 60 minutes of reserve oxygen remains! Can you reinstate the power and surface before the entire crew perishes? Oxygen is already running out!
