Kindly arrive 15-20 minutes early for your first class so you can sign our waiver and acclimate yourself to the studio. Doors lock at class time and there is no late-entry.
Please arrive well-hydrated.
A yoga mat and a large towel are required for all classes. Your first class, we provide a mat and towel to use for free. We have water filling stations and bottled water for purchase ($3). You can also rent a mat ($3) or towel ($3) when you arrive. We provide free lockers for your personal items. Consider bringing your own lock, a change of clothes, anything you need to shower, and a bag for wet items after class. We also rent shower towels for ($3).
We offer three styles of classes:
Original Hot, also known as "Hot Hatha" is a 26 posture, 2 breathing exercise moving meditation requiring discipline and self-awareness. This class systematically stretches, strengthens and balances your body using a set sequence of held poses. Perfect for beginners and appropriate even for many students with movement restrictions, yet challenging even for the most athletic, fit and balanced bodies. Come try it - definitely more than once!
Hot Vinyasa is an all levels strong, fun, flowing class focused on moving mindfully, in connection with your breath. The postures and sequencing are influenced by many traditions and vary from class to class and teacher to teacher. The temperature is approximately 95 degrees. While music is often played, it takes second seat to your breath. Come prepared to play along your edge, leave happy and most likely, at least a little sweaty
Yin is a slow paced, relaxed style of yoga that involves a series of seated and supine postures typically held for about 5 minutes at a time. Those recovering from an injury or looking to lengthen versus strengthen will likely enjoy this class. The room will be warm, but not hot.

About Expand Yoga
Expand Yoga recently opened a second location in Federal Way, formerly occupied by Hot Yoga Inc. We are excited to build a new community. We know it has been a long few years, many people tell us they have not been practicing since studios closed. We are grateful to those of you willing to rebuild your practice and those willing to start for the first time! We know how wonderful a regular yoga practice can be for your health and well being and want to share these practices with you. We are highly trained and focused on helping you find correct alignment in the postures so you can receive the intended benefit. We ask that you come prepared to work hard and have fun.
