An old adage proclaims that the best way to learn is by doing. Offering more than 250 experiential activities for guests of all ages, Explora has taken that saying to heart, and encourages visitors to immerse themselves in science, art, and technology.

The Light, Shadow, Color exhibit, for example, lets visitors investigate light and its properties by testing what makes shadows form and whether or not you can make light bounce. Opening February 14-May 10, XOXO: An exhibit about love and forgiveness, created by Children's Museum of Pittsburgh with support from Fetzer institute, teaches kids about these two themes through words, movement, and performance.

Explora also has a packed calendar of events for both adults and kids. Adult Nights provide a meet-up spot for parents, young professionals, and toddlers who can talk like businesspeople to explore science topics with light refreshments and entertainment.
