About Fairytale Town

Beloved characters such as the Three Little Pigs and the Billy Goats Gruff come to life at Fairytale Town—a whimsical, 3.5-acre outdoor play park. Since its opening in 1959, the park has sparked imagination and exploration by welcoming children to see some of the real-life inspiration behind their favorite fairy tales. The park showcases more than 25 colorful attractions, including a Sherwood Forest play fort, a beanstalk-shaped slide, and a carriage decorated to resemble Cinderella's Coach.

But many of these play sets are also homes: Fairytale Town houses a menagerie of animals chosen for their unique characteristics and connections to these classic stories. A quartet of rabbits hop about near Mr. McGregor’s Garden, where children are encouraged to water the seasonal vegetable beds. A miniature Hereford heifer named Daisy and a miniature Sicilian donkey named Eeyore reside in a quaint red barn, alongside a farm display and a two-story spiral slide. In addition, the park plays host to year-round events, which range from live performances in the children's theater to holiday and multicultural festivals.
