Fire Groove adds a little flare to the area, guiding students through the artistic and eye-catching spectacle of dancing with fire. The studio leads six-week sessions in small groups of 25 or fewer students, and each class meets twice per week. With this Groupon, students will be able to choose from three flame-taming courses: poi groove basics, staff groove basics, or hoop groove basics. Poi groove teaches fire fiends how to dance while maneuvering a ball on a cord. Staff groove instructs pyrotechnic pupils on the Polynesian art of twirling and spinning batons. And hoop groove tones and strengthens students' cores as they rhythmically rotate hula hoops. All of these prop-assisted courses are designed to increase strength, dexterity, flexibility, and coordination.

Fire Groove offers a free introductory class on Sunday, February 27, allowing prospective dancers to learn about the school and its available dance styles before signing up for sessions that begin Sunday, March 6. Although this Groupon only covers three classes, students can purchase additional training. Those who graduate from the six-week session can partake in a hands-on fire-safety training. Then, if desired, they can continue on to participate in the "lighting-up ceremony," which gives students the chance to perform routines with live, burning fire.
