About Five Iron Golf - Baltimore

Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to learn from highly respected golf professionals, each one having their own philosophies when it comes to the golf swing and player development. In my opinion, there is no one way to approach a student’s game. The player’s attitude, physical ability, and expectations will all shape the way we will work to improve. With students who are just beginning to play, I look to keep the enjoyment in the game by keeping the concepts simple, then slowly introducing technical learning as they see improvement. With students who have a golf background but still struggle to get around the course, I look to improve basic concepts to encourage consistency and address course management to help them see lower scores while improving their golf swing. Finally for my better players, we look deeper into the analytics of their game and see where they are losing shots on the golf course. Whether it be swing or concept related, or a lack of a game plan, those players improve their scoring by finding and improving upon their weaknesses.
