Originally invented by bored henchmen looking to pass the time at Superman's secret Antarctic lair, hockey has since overtaken polo and unicycle jousting as America's favored pastime. Hop on the bandwagon with today’s Groupon: for $55, you get one ticket to your choice of two Panthers games at the team's home rink, the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise. From the links above, pick either Wednesday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Philadelphia Flyers or Saturday, March 20, at 7 p.m. vs. the Buffalo Sabres. Your Groupon is only good on the night of the game you purchase, so make sure to buy from the correct link.
Seats will be in the Coach's Club Level (sections 428–430), which includes access to the Coach's Club, an $85 total value. You'll find out the exact location of your seat on game day. Purchasing multiple tickets in the same order will guarantee seats together; tickets purchased across separate orders will not. Inside the Coach's Club, you'll receive all the buffet-style bites you can eat and all the beer, wine, coffee, and soft drinks you can drink. This upscale experience is nearly 8,000 square feet of comfortable, lounge-style seating and attentive service. If you start feeling too far removed from the action, head back to your stadium seats at any time to get right back in the puck-flying mix.
Hockey is like the magnificent mutt of the sporting world. You get the suspense of watching an object swish through a net (like in basketball or soccer), the thrill of rambunctious brawls (boxing), the elegance of ice skating, and the utter brutality of golf, all combined in one action-packed event. Treat your entire family, favorite group of hockey hooligans, or squeamish dentist to a night of hard-hitting ice-capades.
This deal does not include Coach’s Club membership benefits such as free parking and meet-and-greet with the players.

The Miami Herald recounts the Panthers' recent thrilling win against the Tampa Bay Lightning:
- The Panthers started Saturday's game quickly. [Cory] Stillman got his first goal on a power play chance when he knocked in a pass from Steven Reinprecht past starter Antero Niittymaki just 4:07 into the game...The Lightning scored two goals in the first to tie it up, but then it was all Panthers. Bryan Allen scored from the blue line to make it 3-2 only 32 seconds after Andrej Meszaros scored, then [Rotislav] Olesz got the only goals of the second. But the Panthers held their lead thanks to their goalie. "It was all [Tomas] Vokoun," said Stillman, who was trying for his fifth career hat trick. "He stood on his head and made some saves. It's a game where he's really the first star. It was a big two points for us." – George Richards
