Flying Lessons Denver's instructors groom aspiring aviators into well-trained masters of the skies. Whether the student is an amateur thrill-seeker, a future professional airline pilot, or a penguin, it all starts with a Discovery Flight alongside an experienced instructor. The instructor introduces students to the airplane's anatomy and the basics of airport operation before they take off in one of the school's Cessna aircraft for a 30- or 45-minute flight. Once aloft, the instructor turns the controls over to the student, giving them a hands-on experience of soaring through the air, but takes hold of the wheel once again for landing.
