About Frosty Valley Country Club

The hills of the Susquehanna Valley are known for their pastoral beauty and undulating topography. That's part of what drew renowned golf-course architect David Gordon to a former farmstead in the early 1960s. The other part: his desire to design a championship course. That goal came to fruition in Frosty Valley Country Club, a members-only golf course and event center that's been welcoming local families since 1962.

Ringed by native trees, the 6,716-yard course is as challenging as it is beautiful. Boasting a course rating of 72.4 and a slope rating of 131, the course's 18 holes require focus and skill to navigate successfully. That combination has attracted top players, including The King himself, Arnold Palmer. Read on to learn more:

  • Amenities: Instructors can help golfers can refine their game at the driving range and other practice facilities. Also, members can swim laps in the club's Olympic-sized pool (complete with poolside food and drink service) or work on serves and volleys on the Har-Tru clay tennis courts.

  • Charity: Frosty Valley is also known for its generous spirit. For more than 25 years, the club partnered with the Children's Miracle Network to host an annual pro-am tournament that brought PGA and LPGA players to town. It raised more than $750,000 for the area's Geisinger Health System.
