About Fushimi Hospitality Group

At Fushimi Hospitality Group's three Fushimi restaurants, traditional Japanese classics meet French culinary touches. Sometimes they do so under a glowing red roof, other times in a room illuminated by backlit floral silk screens. Design matters here, and it shows in everything from the sleek decor to the sushi plating. Here are three other highlights to look forward to:

The Seafood

Though the menu boasts such items as roasted organic chicken and filet mignon stir-fried with thai basil, the seafood is the star of this show. Diners can opt for tuna belly, salmon roe, or fluke sashimi. When it comes to specialty sushi rolls, the Fire and Ice roll's spicy tuna counterbalances its white tuna.

The Omakase Menu

Omakase literally translates to "put your trust in me," but you don't have to write your PIN on a napkin and give it to the chef to order the omakase menu. You just have to trust him to curate the entire multi-course meal. It's his pick of the day's freshest, most creative dishes—no ordering necessary.

The "Brunch Boxes"

These Japanese-inspired brunches still start with American brunch cocktails: a mimosa, a bloody mary, or a bellini. Then the kitchen sends out a small plate, such as goat cheese on garlic toast, followed by an entree. One option? A crispy soft-shell-crab sandwich with lemon tartar sauce.
