All-Suite Hotel with Bay Views on Tranquil Rocky Point Island
The architect who designed Sailport Waterfront Suites determined that every guest room should have its own view of sparkling Old Tampa Bay. Calculations were made, protractors were consulted, and clever angles were built into the hotel’s construction to make it all possible. In addition to featuring full kitchens and free WiFi, deluxe suites have private balconies offering premium vantage points. A complimentary shuttle runs back and forth from nearby Tampa International Airport and local restaurants from 7 a.m.-11 p.m.
The optional store credit is valid at the onsite grocery store, where you can gather fresh provisions to fill up your in-suite fridge. The property’s other amenities include a beach volleyball court, and a fishing pier where you can cast lines into the bay and a heated outdoor swimming pool where fishing is prohibited. Beach chairs and tiki huts are available free of charge.
Tampa Bay, Florida: Sunny Days, Beaches, and Busch Gardens
Ranked America’s No. 5 Best Outdoor City by Forbes, Tampa Bay is often unfairly overlooked by vacationers headed to Florida. Located 90 miles southwest of Orlando, Tampa enjoys sunny days two-thirds of the year. Locals make the most of the weather by hanging out in more than 165 city parks and on beaches spanning some 2,200 acres.
Roller coasters and exotic animals share real estate at Busch Gardens, a 335-acre theme park in northeast Tampa designed to evoke the thrills of an African safari. Cheetah Hunt, the newest roller coaster, suggests a big cat sprinting after prey as it reaches speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.
