In between sightseeing tours in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll take an overnight cruise on Halong Bay, whose island seascape was described as “a vision of ethereal beauty” by Lonely Planet. How you spend the rest of your time in Vietnam is up to you, so you can relax at your hotels or take optional tours for an additional fee.
- Day 1: Board an overnight flight to Hanoi.
- Day 2: Arrive in Hanoi and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
- Day 3: Go on a tour of Hanoi to view the Ho Chi Minh Memorial, Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, and Museum of Ethnology.
- Day 4: Transfer to a junk boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay, where you’ll sail past islands, fishing villages, and craggy caves.
