Victorian Suites Near Rugged Idaho Mountains
The old-fashioned cupola crowning The Ashley Inn stands out as a distinctive feature along Main Street in Cascade, a small town tucked into the rugged mountains of western Idaho. Inside, the inn couldn't be cozier. The lobby resembles a Victorian parlor, with burgundy carpet, upholstered armchairs, a marble fireplace, and a grand, curving staircase. The atmosphere is subdued but hospitable. Fresh-baked cookies are laid out every night at 8 p.m., and you're welcome to borrow any DVD from the hotel's extensive collection.
All suites are done up in elegant Victorian fashion; most feature floral bedspreads and matching wallpaper. They're comfy spaces where guests can slip into plush robes, munch on the snacks and wine included in the welcome gift package, and snuggle by the fireplace. Some suites also feature bay windows overlooking the gardens. The luxurious Governor's suite is outfitted with a handsome king bed carved from rich wood, as well as a two-person jetted tub and rain shower in the travertine bathroom. Each stay includes a full breakfast including belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit, and coffee.
