Maskall, Belize: Rural Village near Ancient Ruins

Maskall is tucked in a corner of the Belize rainforest, only about 10 miles from one of the country's most famous attractions: Altun Ha. The archaeological site once served as a major Mayan trading center and may also have been a religious center. Today, its stepped pyramids appear on Belizean banknotes as well as the label of Belikin beer, a local brew.

Explore the nearby Mayan Ruins of Altun Ha, 20 minutes from the Resort, and feel the mysticism. Discover the wildlife along the river as you trek towards Lamanai Mayan Ruin. Venture to the Mayan underworld on a cave tubing tour or (Actun Tunichil Mukna) ATM Cave expedition. Visit the Baboon Sanctuary or Crooked Tree Bird Sanctuary. Adventure on a snorkeling tour to Caye Caulker or just relax and enjoy the Cayes for the Day. Rejuvenate with a professional Mud Massage or lounge by the pools. There is plenty to do and the Resort team can curate an itinerary that allows the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.

Absolutely incredible and underpriced! The property is tucked away so peacefully and it’s a real life paradise with flowers and curious humming birds everywhere you turn! The massages are first rate luxury options and the host will arrange for some incredible tours if you ask. They go the extra mile! It’s a real family run place but with excellent chefs. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous!!! Book it.

Food was excellent. Service was top-notch. We did a day trip to snorkel and it was the best snorkeling trip we’ve ever been on. You don’t get to swim with sharks every day!

Relaxing, Unique and a Perfect place to spend our last day in Belize. We stayed at the Abeeza Resort 1 night before heading home. What a perfect way to relax and spend our last day in Belize . Everything was perfect, our driver picked us up at the airport. He was very friendly & knowledgeable of the area. He gave us plenty of information of the area getting to the resort. We were expecting a rougher ride per past reviews. The road was gravel towards the end but not bad at all. We arrived and greeted by Melanie and her staff. We had a beautiful welcome drink & had a tour of the property. Everything is unique & top notch. The resort, pools, spa & food were above my expectations. I highly recommend this resort- it is a treat to be had.

Great stay! The property was beautiful, and the staff are great! The food was also delicious and the mud massage was wonderful! I also enjoyed the yoga room! I stayed 4 nights and would definitely come back. The overall service was very personable. They did a great job keeping the mosquitoes at bay on the property as well.

mosquito hell lovely pools. pretty nature.. and then there are mosquitos. Like everywhere. In your food, room, etc. And the food is not for someone on a low salt diet.. Room was nice except there were palmetto bugs falling from the ceiling and crawling around on the floor. And the drive from the airport is right out of hell.. Huge holes in the road. Other than that it could be fun
