Staff was so friendly! My room didn’t have a microwave, and I called the front desk and they delivered one to my door! I also forgot my toothbrush, and they delivered one to my door. Very accommodating. Comfortable bed and pillows. Clean room. Only downfall was hearing the traffic go by.

Visiting Lake Balboa Came to visit my father for his 75th birthday. He lives in lake balboa only 10min away. Convenient for getting anywhere in the Los Angeles area without exorbitant cost. Clean rooms, family and pet friendly with convenient online check in. We will come again. Alex

Fear for my Safety Our family 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 9) stayed here for 2 days when visiting Universal Studios. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are not insulated so the noise and smells from outside permeate throughout the room. Also cold air from outside just flows into the room as well. To top it all off, the front desk apparently received a noise complaint for someone on our floor. The person at the front desk came by and started banging loudly on our door in the middle of the night (around 1am) while we were all asleep and started shouting “This is the front desk, open up, I know you’ll are in there”. Since I was sleeping, it took me a while to get to the door. The front desk person kept banging loudly on the door, waking up my entire family. When I opened the door, he told us about the noise complaint and he could clearly see that I had just woken up and it wasn’t us that was making all the noise. He just gave a disgruntled look and walked away. No apology or anything. At that point, I was seriously worried about my family’s safety. We couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night. I would seriously request everyone to stay as far away from this hotel as possible.

Wow! I DEFINITELY recommend! I’m currently in the midst of a 60-day stay at this Best Western, and I have to admit, I was hesitant to give the brand another chance after a terrible experience with bed bugs at a different location (Crawfordsville, IN). But with limited hotel options in the San Fernando Valley, I took a chance, expecting the typical rundown, sketchy scene I’ve found throughout the Valley. I couldn’t have been more wrong! After five nights, I’m blown away by how nice this hotel is. The staff, especially housekeeping, are friendly and attentive. The rooms and common areas are spotless. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the pillows are perfect, and despite its location near a busy street and freeway, noise isn’t an issue. The only downsides: a $14 nightly parking fee (after tax), no free breakfast (though there’s a Denny’s on-site), and no BW Rewards points since I booked through Expedia. That said, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Best Western for families, business travelers, and especially solo female travelers. It’s safe, clean, and well-managed. I’m actually looking forward to the rest of my stay!
