Kissimmee, Florida: Easy Access to World-Famous Theme Parks and Major Orlando Attractions

Located on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee sits about 22 miles from downtown Orlando and just 16 miles from the Disney Theme Parks. The world’s most-visited entertainment resort spans roughly 30,000 acres, encompassing four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day at Magic Kingdom® Park by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. After that, ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. For dinner, head over to Epcot® to sample cuisine from Morocco, Mexico, France, Italy, and several other countries. As one of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is home to other theme parks including Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as the CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which holds improv shows five nights a week.

Unsanitary, roach infested, worst customer service This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was clearly not clean—the TV didn’t work, and when we reported it to the front desk, they said someone would come fix it. No one ever showed up. We came back exhausted after a long day at a theme park, hoping to rest, but were horrified to find roaches crawling into my ear while trying to sleep. We were terrified, couldn’t sleep, and have been awake since 3 AM. When we called the front desk in the morning, they told us to call again in an hour. At this point, I have zero expectations of them following through on anything. They don’t provide housekeeping for your visit. We were suggested to call them. But they don’t respond to any request. Stay here only, If you want to feel neglected and stay in roach infested property. This place is unsanitary, unresponsive, and completely unfit for guests. Don’t waste your money or ruin your trip like we did.

WTH - awkward place and treatment So I have never written a bad review for a hotel in my life. Usually 95 percent of time have five star reviews experiences. Maybe I’m spoiled , I am a explorist at Hayatt and sometimes higher. Always platinum or higher at IHG. But I was treated like an animal -though I recently got matched over to highest tier Diamond. They told me at this hotel they don’t care about status 1 percent. They don’t care about who I am even as an actor from Beverly Hills. They told me they just want to sell me a timeshare and will treat me nice til they get me in a presentation or complete a sale. Then it’s the usual treatment after. They told me a great technique to upsell me is to offer really low rates with points or dollars and to do super late 4pm check in. And then send me to another desks at check in and tell me maybe if you watch our presentation we will let you into our many empty rooms. Then they rush you out of your rooms at 10am!!!! Never had this experience in my life. Usually offerree late at 2pm or 4pm or at least noon check out. Even my poorest nicest friends get 12p checkout at most hotels. I’m a regular person- not a millionaire but just a regualr business customer but felt like I was treated like a bad person. First time in my life. So I have to speak up about this. They have some car break ins according to regulars at jacuzzi. Cannot verify this. My simple rental was not broken into. Front desk seems angry if you ask for any thing. They just want commission for sending you to upsell desk. I called to ask for late check out. I was told by a normal lady though a little agitated -they can hookup 10:30a or 11a. I said I was dissatisfied— can a manager call me back. The most angry customer service agent I have talked to in my life called me back 2 mins later and said she was the GM .: Said just call me Lucy. - would not give me last name or initial or email. But said you must leave by 10AM or earlier. She acted like I insulted their staff by asking to leave later than 10am. And was super angry and rude. I’m sure the call was recorded. But it really seemed like this was standard protocol. She is as not at all bothered when I asked is this normal procedure for your top customers and I would reach out to management if I was being treated normal. She assured me this is how they treat their people! !?!

Wyndham Cypress Palms, Kissimmee FL This is a great resort. Very comfortable / spacious rooms with full kitchen, dining table, living room and spacious bathroom. Two pools ( one more for families with kids). Amenities around the resort, mini golf, shuffle board, activities center with games, etc. Convenient to Disney / Disney Springs, ~ 20 minutes drive depending on traffic, to Universal. Plenty of dining options nearby for “semi- fast food”.
