Never again!! There is NO WAY this hotel should ever average 4 stars with their reviews. This hotel is VERY outdated, the rooms and hallways have a funny stale odor, they state on their website they have a pool, (they do, but it’s out of service indefinitely) they falsely advertise stating they have suites and 2 room suites online, however both the front desk clerk and the manager advised they don’t have them, they will incorrectly charge you for items you purchase from the market and when you bring it to their attention they will refuse to correct it. I have been a titanium member for the past 10 years with Marriott and enjoy most of their hotels, but I’m telling you to stay away from this one. The thing that sucks the most is you have very limited Marriott properties in the Rocky Mount, NC area and they all appear to be run down. I guess it’s time to find out if another chain has any decent hotels in the area.

Nicest front desk and warmest reception- stay here if you are travelling on I-95 If you are exhausted and need a place to sleep right off I-95- stay here. If you are greeted by Amanda at the front desk- your stay will be even better! We just had a nightmare of an experience. We were driving from South Carolina to New York and needed a place to stay. I went online and made my reservation at another hotel. I checked in remotely. As were were on the last hour of our trip and approaching midnight, the other hotel called to tell me that there was a "glitch" and our room was cancelled and the hotel was sold out. Here we ae exhausted, two sleeping kids, poruing rain and the middle of the night. I called the Courtyard and Amanda picked up. She made me feel so much better, told me she would hold a room for us, and greeted us with a warm smile when we arrived. Check in was super quick and she told us to go to bed lol. The room was clean and big enough for our family of four. It is not fancy and the hotel itself seems a little bit older, but the customer service we received was top notch. Huge shout out to Amanda for making our trip home not so awful!

Mediocre room Clean room with very Loud AC, The bathroom had seen better days but was clean. The staff was disinterested at best. House keeping was extremely slow, my room hadn’t been kept even at 4pm. Considering all the options available within a stones throw I wouldn’t stay here again.

Stay away, far away As the desk clerk flatly refused to let me see the room before checking in, I turned around and walked out. It was because of the bad reviews I read online that made me want to see the room first. I can only assume the rooms lived up to their reputation and that is the reason for the refusal.

Not a good stay. Hotel old and worn. Stayed at this hotel while driving to Florida. It wasn’t a good experience. When checking in the front desk clerk apologized for the hotel being worn and dated. She said the hotel was on the list for updating. The room was OK but bathroom very worn with paint pealing and chips in bathtub. We tried to get some dinner at the Bistro and were told that they only had flatbreads and could not prepare anything else. She also said they had no beer or wine without an explanation. It seemed clear that she didn’t want to serve us. The area is a typical highway stop with an Outback and Texas Steak house nearby. Couldn’t get into Outback and Texas Steak house wasn’t very good. We are longtime Marriott Envoy members and this was the worst experience at any Marriott property. We thought Marriott had higher standards and would never put their guests in a worn down facility. I hope this review gets seen by Marriott management.
