Nice Stay Stayed for a weekend trip into NYC. Nice hotel , inviting lobby area, and very clean. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and very helpful . The hotel is conveniently located beside a nice shopping center and is within walking distance .

Good value for a clean comfortable room, helpful staff. We stayed for one night and the room looked newly remodeled , it had a fridge and comfy King bed. Nice staff. My only complaint is the coffee situation. The coffee maker in the room had pods that make the weakest worst coffee. So I went to the lobby expecting to get complimentary coffee and it turned out there is only Starbucks at full price available. We usually stay at Hiltons where there is good quality complimentary coffee in the Lobby.

“Disappointing Accessibility Features at Courtyard Marriott West Orange I just checked into the Courtyard Marriott in West Orange and am already disappointed with the so-called “accessible” room. Due to temporary mobility restrictions, I specifically requested an accessible room, but it’s far from what I expected. First, the room lacks a roll-in shower, which is essential for anyone with mobility challenges. Instead, there’s a high bathtub with a ledge, making it completely unusable for someone with limited mobility. The bed is also ridiculously high, making it nearly impossible to get into without assistance, and the accessible rooms are a long walk from the entrance—an issue for anyone with mobility difficulties. This room would be a non-starter for anyone in a wheelchair. It’s clear that the “accessible” features fall short of what is needed. While the room is clean and the staff are friendly, the lack of proper accessibility makes this a poor choice for anyone with mobility restrictions. I would not recommend this hotel for those who require true accessibility.

Good Stay Check in & out were easy. Asked if we had a floor preference. Quiet area. Room was clean as well as the bathroom. They updated and put a seat with a glass wall. Most people will tend to get in on that end & you have nothing yo hold onto besides glass. It’s just not the best design. There’s a bar in the tub along the wall, but leaning to reach it could cause a fall & could be dangerous. I’ve included a photo. Breakfast there is NOT free & very expensive. There’s a few locations to eat within walking distance or in the shopping area very close by. We went to Panera Bread 2 mornings in shopping area. Laundry is $2 for each W/D, Coffee in lobby is not free either. It’s setup but you have to ask for a cup which will cost you. Coffee in room, but we had to ask for more & gave 1. They are very tight on extras. We had no issues with parking. At least that’s free. Wi-Fi was good. Overall stay we had no issues. Forgot to take photos until we were leaving, room was much nearer upon arrival.

Bathrooms in suites are hazardous The suite bathrooms need to be examined more carefully- and this is constructive criticism bc I’m afraid someone is going to get hurt. First off, I slipped not once but twice in the 24 hours I stayed here. Whatever cleaning agent they’re using on the tub floor, they need to put a bath mat down. I’m a healthy in shape 39 year old. This doesn’t ever happen. There needs to be some grout between the shower wall and ledge bc I had a flood every time I showered (there’s space). It also conveniently floods where the shower curtain ends. You can do the math. The water is also very temperamental- extremely hot very fast, knob needs tightening. With that being said, the checkin was a breeze and the staff very friendly. The suite was nice, spacious, relatively clean. Thank god there was a door between the bedroom and living room bc my neighbors don’t know how to control their kids (hallways or in their room), so I got fed up and decided to move into the bedroom. Suites should not have joining rooms imo and you should only be put in one if requested. This is not on Marriott, per se, that’s just bad parenting, and I have a child myself. Additionally, and probably most disappointingly, I specifically chose this hotel bc I have an electric vehicle and they have public EVgo stations. Unfortunately, the evgo stations get bum rushed at checkin and just about half were out of order. The 350 charger was charging at 28 lmao. So I decided to drive out more and find a station- defeats a major reason why I chose this place. Again, not Marriott’s fault but be aware. They have a gym and pool. They’re both palm sized but it’s there for the taking. Overall, at nearly $400 a night, I doubt I’ll be back to this particular location. Friendliness (front desk, even the maids), was amongst the best ever, but many things need improvement.
