Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains: Hiking, Trout Fishing, and Historical Towns
The Poconos region of northeastern Pennsylvania accounts for some 2,400 square miles of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and forests. The area has been a popular vacation destination ever since Pennsylvania Quakers opened a hotel here on the Delaware River in 1829. Today, the Poconos draw more than 25 million annual visitors, thanks to year-round recreational opportunities and stunning natural scenery.
The warmer months are a great time to explore the region’s lakes and wooded hills. For spectacular hikes, check out Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where you can trek to dramatic waterfalls or follow a 27-mile section of the historic Appalachian Trail. A handful of little towns full of antique shops and galleries nestle in the mountains, too. You'll find boutique wine galleries and historical mansions tucked away on country roads, including the late 19th-century Asa Packer Mansion, which is open for tours, in the borough of Jim Thorpe.

My husband and I came to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and had such a great time! We thoroughly enjoyed all the activities, explored the resort, and even made some new friends. The staff are SO NICE and made our experience all the more enjoyable. Unfortunately, I suffered a medical event there, but the staff was quick to respond and extremely accommodating. They did everything in their power to make the rest of my stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Poor management We stayed from 15 March to the 17th. We were celebrating my birthday and anniversary, which is on the 16th. I just want some opinions of what everybody thinks.
We enjoy the hot tub and then went for a swim in the pool stayed in the garden of Eden apple and then got in the shower for dinner. As I was walking over to get my suitcase for an outfit, I fell and fractured my shoulder because of the wet floor .
I reached out to Bryan and he was a very arrogant that why is this his responsibility? I’m self-employed and still have to work with a fractured shoulder when I spoke with Bryan he said you seem to have misfortune at our resort last year. I was walking out of our hotel room Garden of pineapple again and the concrete was all broken and I sliced my foot open . I spoke with Mitchell and he gave us a buy one get one free night, which I thought was very nice .
Bryan however said what are you looking for a free night? That’s what you sounds like you’re looking for. I told him it ruined our anniversary and birthday. I couldn’t even go to dinner next morning got up went to the hospital. They said it was sprained. If not better see an ortho wasn’t getting better. Saw an ortho and it’s fractured. Bryan seems not to believe me that I fractured it. I offered to send him the x-ray or a letter from my orthopedic.. maybe Bryan was having a bad day, but I was very upset after speaking with him. I did ask him if he thought the resort was up to par and he agreed that it is not. We have been in forever lovers for over 25 years so the amount of money I have spent I don’t even wanna think about but for him to treat me like that I thought was terrible. Just would like people’s thoughts maybe I’m in the wrong but when Bryan said he shouldn’t take no responsibility for this I was very upset. Just the way you spoke to me. I also made an incident report as soon as I came back from the hospital. Which made me lose a day and a half of our stay from the fall and the hospital visit .

Don’t ever go here ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!
First we booked and paid a month in advance! We drive 9 hours to get here and arrived at 10 pm ( mind you check in is at 3 pm) to be told our room we paid for was unavailable due to issues I felt weren’t worth us not having a room. I had to argue for compensation and was told we would be refunded the first night and stay in a room for free… the room was terrible and the next day the room we paid for was dirty!!! Stuff was floating in the tub the tubs were dirty and brown stuff came out the faucet!!! The customer service is absolutely unacceptable the lady at the front tried to lie and say she could give me a final receipt to prove the refund because I knew it would be a problem! A month later it still hasn’t come !! Terrible I don’t suggest this place and at and should sue!!
