Quiet Getaway in Secluded Baltimore County Community

At the foot of a cobbled path, neatly groomed evergreens nuzzle the gabled roof of the Hunt Valley Inn, which stands against a backdrop of quiet Maryland countryside. In the lobby, a rustic sensibility blends with modern touches: wooden beams line a ceiling accented by lanterns, and a fireplace roars near stylish couches.

In guest rooms, light spills from floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating pillow-top mattresses dressed in plush linens and pillows. Cardio equipment and free weights line the onsite fitness room, which is accessible by flashing a guest-room key card or shouting last week's winning lottery numbers. Breakfast in the Cinnamon Tree restaurant helps fuel early-morning workouts or sightseeing excursions.

Hunt Valley, Maryland: Tranquil, Natural Sanctuary Near Bustling Baltimore

Hunt Valley does not appear on most maps. Nestled within Cockeysville, the unincorporated town offers a quiet escape from the bustle of nearby Baltimore. Shawan Road, the closest thoroughfare, reaches westward toward Oregon Ridge Nature Center, which unfurls across more than 1,000 acres of wilderness. The park frequently serves as the setting for outdoor events, including maple syrup weekends, honey-harvest festivals, live music performances, and full-moon hikes.

Baltimore's vibrant Inner Harbor is a short drive away. Crisscrossed by convenient water taxis, the seaport, and the surrounding neighborhood boast cultural and historical attractions, including the National Aquarium, a Civil War-era gunship, and Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Visitors can surprise a fisherman on his birthday by sticking candles in the city’s trademark crab cakes, which are served at many restaurants along the water.

EVENING Staff were Pleasant and helpful.. loved the recommendations. POOR toiletry supply.Day of checkout (MY Birthday) post a night out celebrating (returned after2am).The housekeeping awakened ME 3 times STARTING at 8:30am despite a 12pm checkout . The Hotel was decent but it smelled of Dogs,I think it may have been a Show.I WISH I was informed,I would have opted for a different place ESPECIALLY since I requested at Check-in NOT to be NEAR pets.

No hot water Will not use this hotel again. Looked to be minimal cosmetic updates. There was no hot water for two days. Was not advised of the issue upon checkin because I would have stayed elsewhere. Hotel is too large for them to maintain.

Beautiful spacious rooms & fluffy pillows Have been to this property for YEARS for conventions, but never stayed until last night. Rooms are very spacious with all the comforts of home, desk, chairs, refrigerator, nice views of the courtyard. Only thing did not like was handicap shower in #1069, no curtain, shower head was terrible & cold in majority of the hallways. Across from shopping & restaurants. Right off I-83 I'm hoping they will not tear it down as that's what I've heard.

Yes, they have weddings here We attended a wedding here. The grounds are lovely and our room was clean. The lower level rooms for the event were FREEZING and the decor tired. We heard things we didn’t want to in the room next door at 2:30 in the morning.
