The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Head to LINQ Promenade for a shopping and dining experience, then ride atop the High Roller observation wheel. Thanks to the strip’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the Roman Empire at Caesars Palace, you can virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

Honestly, it's one of the cleanest hotels i have stayed in! Skip the kiosks, though & go straight to the counter to check in. The kiosk told me my room wasn't ready, but 45 min (& no email) later, we went to the counter & our room was ready.

LOUD Construction, Poor experience overall Poor experience from the minute we walked in the door. Loud concrete drilling was going on in the same spot as the check in desk. Our clerk had to yell the check in information, and we had to have her repeat herself several times. The check in desk had construction dust everywhere. Why on earth would you want this to be the 1st impression a guest gets? We paid an extra fee for early check in, but they only had a king room available, and we had requested 2 queens. HOWEVER, if we wanted to upgrade to a newly remodeled room for $35 more a day, we could check in now. Again, what? Once we checked into our room, it was freezing and had no heat. After 2 calls to the front desk, maintenance came and fixed the heat. The entire hotel was freezing cold. The shower in the bathroom had no door that closed, so the floor was soaking wet after each person showered. We had to call down to the desk to ask for more towels and shower mats. The faucet handle for the cold water was not attached correctly, so the entire mechanism turned, not just the handle. We did not use the gambling portion of the hotel as the construction was loud, and it was too cold so we went to a warm one. I booked the Flamingo as in past years we enjoyed staying at this hotel, I was so embarrassed that I brought a 1st time visitor to Vegas to this hotel. I will not recommend this hotel, nor will I stay at the Flamingo in the future,

I Want To Love You Flamingo, But You Make it Really Hard We have been coming to Flamingo for around 30 years now for a girls trip and although the prices go up and up the service goes down and down. We booked the room probably 10 months ago, and we've typically stayed in renovated rooms up the Habitat Elevator bank. This time although I checked in online, got the text the room was ready, we were still unable to use the kiosk and had to go to the desk. Of course the line was long but not as long as it typically is. When we got to the counter we had to pay the $20 early check in fee and ended up with a room that wasn't what we wanted, we were on the 7th floor with an attraction view. Not much to see from the 7th floor, we're used to 19 or higher. I asked if we could get a room up the Habitat elevator which is what I requested 10 months earlier and it was a flat out NO. The clerk wasn't going to budge one bit on anything, it was the room she assigned and thats it. Come on, tourism is down, there had to be another room. In the past we've upgraded (at our cost) when we've checked in, she offered us ZERO, nothing. Basically take it or leave it. I don't think they realize they work in the hospitality industsry in a city that should be trying to woo back visitors. Nearly $60 a night for resort fees which is a blatent money grab....what am I getting?? Seriously mediocre wifi for 2 devices only, oh....yeah the local calls. Anyway, I want to love Flamingo, the location is awesome, its Classic Vegas but the customer service from the check in staff is terrible. On the upside our room was in really good condition except the body wash thing in the shower didn't work. But considering how old it all it, the room was nice, Just way too low and I know they could have fixed that.

Why isn't there more pink in the rooms? We loved it here. 19th floor strip view with a king bed. The bed was SO comfortable. It was a nice clean room. Large shower. The only weird thing was that the toilet would randomly flush itself. It's also strange how little pink is in a room that is named after a pink bird. The flamingos in the habitat are really cool and so are all of the ducks. Check in was easy. Parking costs $20 a day and you use your room card to swipe in and out of the ramp. Parking is then charged to your room. Check your total at the end of your stay to be sure its correct. the hotel is so convenient to be located on the Linq Promenade with all of the shops and food right there.
