Williamsburg, Virginia: Historic Colonial Town

Part of the Historic Triangle of Virginia (along with Jamestown and Yorktown), Williamsburg was the capital of the colony. It played a central role during the American Revolution—American forces gathered here in 1781 to march to Yorktown for the war's final battle. The city pays homage to this patriotic past with a living museum where fifers march in Revolutionary War regalia and costumed actors portray everyday colonists. Historians have carefully preserved and restored dozens of 18th-century structures within the town; buildings of note include the home of George Wythe, the first Virginian to sign the Declaration of Independence. Yorktown Battlefield is to the east; here, park rangers tell the story of the Revolutionary War's final siege.

No AC, cockroaches everywhere, mold smell, and run down. Close to Busch gardens and nice historic area. Nice lobby The ac didn't work, room didn't get below 80°F had ac sat for coolest setting and max cool and it blew warm air. Had to go out to the stores and buy a few fans to get room to cool a tiny bit. Water damage alongside the bathroom wall and on the bathroom door. Room had a terrible musty smell to it. Cockroaches EVERYWHERE. Killed 2 in the bathroom when I arrived came back from going to the store and I killed 5 more in the room. They wouldn't stop coming back. Parking was terrible, the spots are right up against a fence with bushes and sticks poking out. You either have to scratch your vehicle to park or stick out in the road.

Awful hotel. Dirty, old and gross This hotel is awful. The air doesn’t work in the lobby or in the rooms. The place is gross and falling apart. But when looking at the website it seemed super nice. We booked a suite with a kitchen. It didn’t have anything supplied. No plates, forks, not even cups. I’m upset I brought other people along with me. Everyone is disappointed.
