Ocean City, Maryland: Family-Friendly Boardwalk next to the Atlantic

Along Ocean City’s century-old boardwalk, you can savor wild-caught blue crab, play old-fashioned arcade games, and watch candy makers spin colorful saltwater taffy. The lively boardwalk, which stretches for 3 miles along Maryland’s eastern shore, helped earn Ocean City a spot on USA Today’s list of the “10 great places to have some fun on a boardwalk.” Kids can ride a ferris wheel and climb aboard one of the country’s oldest carousels at Trimper’s Amusement Park, a family-owned theme park open for more than 100 years.

Assateague Island National Seashore—a 37-mile stretch of salt marshes running from Ocean City down to Virginia—offers a peaceful reprieve from the boardwalk’s constant activity. The island’s famous wild horses gallop on the shores, and you can climb up a vintage, candy-striped lighthouse, or hike the seaside forests to spot birds, including great horned owls, ruby-crowned kinglets, and great blue herons.

Terrible experience Went there for a tournament- went to room- Thankful we did not bring in bags. FILTHY is being kind- to top it off, we were charged $25 because it’s a “penalty” - I hope they used the 25 to buy roach repellant - after we left they told coach the roach was a “toy” so let’s add dishonesty and disgusting.

Can't Get Enough of This Place I've been coming here for over 10 years and it just keeps getting better and better. It's been amazing watching my kids grow up here. Over the year my kids went from the splash pad to the indoor poolslide to now the outdoor pool - indoor pool volleyball. From not making the movies, to the 8pm movie now exclusively the 10pm movie. It also amazes me that over the years a lot of the staff’s faces have changed but the same friendliness, work ethic and helpfulness has consistently stayed exceptional. A true testament to the hard work of the GM Heather. I love the upgrades to the carpet in the main lobby area and I am also a fan of the big screen TV for the movies over the old projector. The only thing that could use some improvement is some of the guests’ mannerisms but that's to no fault of the resorts. I would highly recommend coming here especially with family, I've been coming here for a while and as the title says I just can't get enough of this place and I am already looking forward to next year's trip. See you in 25 FSK!!!

Super horrible stressful and hurtful! My family have been comming here for 43 years . Unfortunately this may be my mom’s last year due to illness. Normally my mom stays for a week or so and entire family come she pays for two cabins . We started staying in main house befor all the other buildings pools etc were built . That’s how long we been coming ! We been faithful to this hotel. This time me and my wife paid for my mom to come for four days . What happens was noise upstairs and it sounded like heard of elephants from 10pm till 3 am . The front desk help was upstairs cause they had issue with ants or something I talked to him and the disrespect he showed when I told him of my mom being sick and his lack of empathy ! I’ll stop there please call me in regards to this Melissa Cramer is my mother you can look her up and see how long we been coming and money family has spent over the years here . I’m Jim Cramer and I want a call regarding this 443-571-5924 several witnesses to the way your employee treated me and what he said !!
