  • Four seasons in the Rockies: The 27-hole golf course and heated outdoor infinity pool stay open all year (weather permitting).
  • Where to work out: four indoor tennis courts and a fitness center with indoor cycling and TRX Suspension Training

Colorado Springs, Colorado: Cultured College Town Where the Mountains Meet the Plains

Colorado Springs is the second-biggest city in Colorado, but it still has a frontier feel; there are vast plains and towering mountains just east of the city. At more than 14,000 feet, Pikes Peak dominates the landscape. The mountain—once thought to be insurmountable—inspired part of the lyrics to “America the Beautiful.” Travelers can hike the mountainside or take the surroundings in by car along the 19-mile Pikes Peak Highway.

Though a lot of activity here skews toward the outdoors, Colorado Springs has plenty else going for it, particularly in the artistic realm. Downtown is the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, home to masterpieces by contemporary American painters that include John Singer Sargent and Georgia O’Keeffe.

Incredible views We stayed at the Garden of the Gods Resort during July 2021. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All facilities were clean and in very good shape. We are not resort-type people, but we knew the resort offered balconies with incredible views of the Garden of the Gods Park with Pikes Peak in the background. We were not disappointed! The view from our Master Suite’s balcony was magnificent! All the staff members we encountered were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional—plus they made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We enjoyed the wonderful expertise of the concierge staff (especially Sara) and the smiles of the very helpful valet and bell staffs. We did not eat every meal at the resort, but the meals we did eat there were delicious and served with courtesy. We realize many cannot afford to spend several nights here like we did, but if you are in the area, at least, reserve a meal at this resort—you will not be disappointed in either the meal or the view. As far as we are concerned the price of this resort is worth it and if we are fortunate enough to return to Colorado Springs in the future—this is definitely the place we would stay again!

Garden of the Gods Resort Excellent property, amenities and staff. Highly recommend a stay here. We had to cut our trip short and missed doing some things we planned on doing there (massage, golf, gym), and hope to make it back some day soon!

But they waive the fee for roller bed but we did not use anyway, Alia and othe staff are very nice Our room have a great view to the mountain and picture perfect, We can use to make postcard I have pictures but do not know how to upload The restaurant is first level and the view is spectacular you can sit there and enjoy the view The food here is the BEST in our trip This is a great resort with beautiful view and delicious food only thing they did not offer perks to AE Black card like other fine dining and resort do.
