Beautiful spot on the beach Nice place, nice spot on the beach. They were still doing maintenance for the upcoming season. Room clean, nice bed and bedding, right on the beach. Basic breakfast biscuits and gravy, breads, orange juice, milk, couple cereals, coffee. Decent.

Great Staycation A nice safe beautiful Hotel in a friendly small town. Nice people found throughout town and the place to stay is Gold Beach Inn. Great Atmosphere, Nice Breakfast Offered With Very Filling Foods Being Used. I Will continue to travel to Gold Beach and always stay at The Gold Beach Inn. They beat all the rest of the competition in town. Classy but not Sassy. A comfortable stay indeed.

Be careful Poorly managed and smelled like marijuana. Did not provided services as advertised online and when I got there. The price was very reasonable and the views are great, but you end up settling for rooms that were dirty and smelling pot from people smoking outside of your room. I do not recommend this hotel.

Could use some improvements The outside appearance of this hotel is questionable--I almost didn't want to stay. The gutters were overflowing with rainwater, the walkways were filthy, and the door locks were a joke. But, the room inside was relatively nice and clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. The "breakfast" in the morning was not good--I think all hotels/motels that offer a free breakfast buy the items at the same place. The dried out disc shaped "sausage," the cold fake eggs, diabetes no flavor muffins, and the standard issue cold cereals. The orange juice tastes like the metal lid of its vessel and the coffee ran out 10 minutes into the breakfast. We didn't use the hot tub and we didn't get an ocean view room so I cannot comment on those.

A second rate option We have stayed at this motel 3 times over the past 6-7 years because it has been a convenient stop on our hiking tour of the Oregon coast. During our recent visit it was clear that the quality of the motel has decreased. Basically it is a second rate motel in a small town which has few alternative options. The rooms are very worn. The bathrooms are small and in need of repair. Accessing second room floors requires hauling your luggage up a flight of stairs. The bed was hard and past its useful life. The internet signal was so slow it was not useful. Breakfast consists of a paper bag containing a commercial muffin, a container of canned fruit cocktail and a small container of orange juice. Terrible! Next time we will look for a motel in Brookings, OR.
