We had a great time at the gold country campground. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfectly cozy. We had everything we needed and then some. Bring your own towels as they don't provide those but not a big deal. We loved the grounds. We will definitely be back.

Great Birthday weekend! We had a great time camping this past weekend with 5 other couples. The staff were chill, friendly, and accommodating and the sites were beautiful with hints of fall still Lingering. The guys golfed nearby Castle Oaks while the girls shopped and had lunch in Sutter Creek which was a short 15 minutes away. We also wine tasted at Avio winery and attended a Journey / Foreigner tribute Fore-Jour concert at Sutter Creek theater. We will definitely be back !

Step up your game Gold Country Campground The campground area was nice. I was there to visit my best friend. The people were friendly at check-in. I paid for a large king size bed. The bed was the hardest bed I ever slept on in my entire life. There was no soap, shampoo, or anything else for the guests to use. All there was was four towels, a couple of hand towels, and a couple of washcloths. When you pay almost almost $200 a night for a room You would expect the room to be at least adequate for your needs. I have heard that the cabins are in much better condition, but if you are booking a room at this Campground, you should stay away from the lodge. I was not expecting a five star resort, but the Lodge room that I stayed in would not even get two stars. Hopefully somebody can read this from the campground and make the changes so the people that are staying in the lodge rooms feel more comfortable when they open the door to sleep for the evening.

They lie We left one day early and they refused to reimburse us the money for the last day. They say that they sent us emails with their refund policy. The did not send us any email. They also didn't tell us at the reception when we booked and paid.
