WE ARE COMMITTED TO SAFETY

In accordance with the State of Wisconsin, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and industry recommendations, a mask or face covering for guests ages 2 and older is required when indoors or in an enclosed space and other people are present in the same room or space, including but not limited to outdoor bars, outdoor restaurants, and ride-share vehicles. Face masks and face coverings are strongly recommended in all other settings, including outdoors when it is not possible to maintain physical distancing. Masks or face coverings are not required: outdoors; while eating or drinking at a restaurant/bar; or while swimming. If you need a mask, please request one at the Front Desk. We appreciate your cooperation.

Due to social distancing guidelines, we must reduce the number of guests permitted on our outdoor pool deck. Therefore, we have implemented an advanced reservation policy for pool times. Each room reservation will have the opportunity to sign up for one (1) two-hour time slot per day during their stay. Additional pool time may be available on a walk-in basis. Reservations can be made online after you receive your room confirmation. Wristbands will be limited to the number of guests in the room.

Open swim times will be available, based on availability, daily from 7:00am to 8:30am and from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Additionally, we will take guests on a walk-in basis throughout the day, as occupancy allows from 9:00am to 6:30pm.

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin: Lakeside Mansions and Historical Museums

Located within 90 miles of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison, Lake Geneva has become one of the Midwest’s most popular destinations for recreation. Geneva Lake—a gaping gulf of fresh water ripe for swimming, leisurely sails, water skiing, and tubing—is the resort town’s biggest draw in the summer. Admire the scenery by taking a stroll on the Geneva Lake Shore Path, a 21-mile walkway planned by early settlers that stretches around the entire lake. Along the way, you’ll pass expansive gardens and the opulent estates that helped the town earn the nickname “Newport of the West.”

In the winter, outdoor activities range from sledding and cross-country skiing in Big Foot Beach State Park to ice-fishing on Geneva Lake. There’s also plenty to do indoors, such as the Geneva Lake Museum, which takes visitors back in time with re-created late 19th- and early 20th-century shops.

We had a great time Before leaving for our trip I ended up here and read quite a few negative reviews that made me really nervous. Luckily this wasn’t the case for us. The staff was all really friendly and helpful. Our room (building 3, 3rd floor) was nice, seemed recently updated and overlooked the beautiful property. The fridge was great to have. I thought the landscaping was immaculate and everything was well kept. It was nice to visit the nearby Timber Ridge for the water park and then be able to leave, lol. My kids loved the pools, and the pool service staff was super attentive. Of the restaurants we only ate at the grand cafe but the food was great. My only quibble was when I stayed back at breakfast after my family left to enjoy my coffee and chia pudding in peace and an employee began fully cleaning the table, brushing crumbs onto my legs etc so I felt forced to leave. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t realize this was rude.

They really don't care if you are happy. I agree with the previous reviewer. The lack of A/C or the inability of the A/C to cool the room (s) was a major problem. They advertise as a luxury resort, but I've stayed at luxury resorts before, and this is not one. Restaurant was closed because of a back up of some type. The front desk recommended ubereats as a way to have a quick dinner.

NOT SO GRAND GENEVA By the name, "grand Geneva", you're expecting the best experience. Well, that is not the case. Started out by requesting a second floor room at the time of booking. was told this would only be possible with a $47 per night add on, which I did, no hesitation. Only to walk into our room, facing the parking lot with tree branches covered in old Christmas lights filling the balcony. Not to mention, HUGE spider webs filling the chairs and corners of the entire space. We did not use the balcony. The room was decent but the bathroom could have been cleaner. The resort in itself is getting pretty outdated. Rotted wood that has been painted over, weeds filling the flower beds, bee hives on the light posts along the back of the resort, garbage cans to collect rain water on what were once decorative ledges, cups and crumbs all over the lobby carpet. The pool was nice at night although there are no towels available by the outdoor pool or drink service past 7:30pm. Indoor pool was like a concrete box, absolutely no wow factor. Grand Café buffet was okay but over priced at $50 a plate. The prime rib was extremely chewy. food was pretty basic. The desserts were great & Service by Leanne was fantastic. (amazing woman who works her butt off) over all, we would not stay at Grand Geneva again. The wow factor of a historic hotel is slowly being run into the ground.
