Located on a barrier island shaped like the number seven, Cancún's Hotel Zone juts into the Caribbean Sea at the northeast tip of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. With the sea on one side and freshwater lagoons on the other, it's a popular spot for sailing and snorkeling. Student/Youth Policy

A Student/Youth Traveler is defined as any individual aged 17 to 25 years old traveling without a parent or legal guardian. This policy applies to all Oasis properties during the Spring Break season (February-April).

  • Mandatory Insurance Fee: A non-refundable $30 USD per person insurance fee is required for all Student/Youth Travelers and must be paid cash at check-in.
  • Travel Consent for 17-Year-Olds: All 17-year-old travelers without a parent or legal guardian must present written consent from their parent or guardian. This consent must authorize international travel and confirm that the parent/guardian assumes full responsibility for the traveler's actions. For every nineteen travelers who are 17 years old, one adult chaperone (minimum age: 25 years old) must stay on the property for the entire visit.
  • Student/Youth Traveler Groups: As a general rule, Oasis Hotels & Resorts only accepts Student/Youth Groups a at Grand Oasis Cancun (this does not apply to family travel).

Check-In Age Requirement: The legal hotel check-in age in Mexico is 18 years old. Each room must have at least one occupant aged 18 or older. Guests under 17 years old are not permitted to stay at any Oasis property without a legal parent or guardian present. At Oh! Cancun The Urban Oasis & Beach Club, all guests must be at least 18 years old.

Supper relaxing, with friendly staff. Couldn't ask for a better and more relaxing vacation. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and I was surprised to had a balcony room with a beautiful ocean view. Food was excellent. The entertainment that was offered was exceptional. The entertainers truly loved what they do a it showed. All around a truly enjoyable trip.

Loud music, not kid friendly Staff is friendly, fairly clean (perhaps outdated/old) room and good outside surroundings. We are however suffering a lot with being a family w. small children visiting. There’s constantly loud music during the day and on some nights it continues. And I am not talking about regular music. We are talking loud club / party music making it impossible to sleep with windows closed. It is really loud. Don’t go if you are looking for family friendly hotel. The hotel was advertised as family friendly and hence the agitation. The hotel did not care one bit when asking if they could turn down the music. Don’t go unless you are looking for a party hotel. Not kid friendly. We even paid for an upgraded room. Kids pool under renovation upon arrival and did not open until halfway through our stay. Restaurant bookings “unavailable” despite several different attempts although restaurants are completely empty (wondering if they are pushing people to eat at their buffet? (Where we got red wine served in a beer mug)) This is a 3-star hotel in my opinion and not entirely as advertised by Air Canada. We would not go back here.

AVOID I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with a recent holiday to The Sens Hotel. The holiday, intended as a relaxing break for myself and my partner, fell far short of expectations and the descriptions provided on your website. * Sakura Restaurant Unavailability: We were significantly disappointed to discover that the Sakura restaurant was not available at The Sens Hotel Cancun. This was a key factor in our choice of hotel, as we had previously enjoyed dining at this restaurant at your neighbouring hotel, The Pyramid. This lack of a promised amenity was not communicated to us prior to or upon our arrival. * Misleading Transfer Information: The transfer time to the hotel was significantly longer than advertised. We were informed that the journey would take approximately 20 minutes, however, the actual transfer time was closer to 40 minutes. Had we been aware of this longer travel time, we would have likely chosen a hotel closer to the airport. * Disruptive Renovation Work: Throughout our stay, with the exception of Sunday, significant renovation work was being carried out on the beachfront of the hotel. This involved noise and disruption on a daily basis and severely impacted our ability to relax and enjoy the beach area, which was a primary reason for booking a beachfront hotel. This ongoing construction was not mentioned at the time of booking, and had we been informed, we would have undoubtedly chosen alternative accommodation. * Food Poisoning and Gastroenteritis: Tragically, both myself and my partner suffered from food poisoning during our stay, which we believe originated from one of the hotel restaurants. Since returning to the UK, my partner has been diagnosed by a medical professional with gastroenteritis, further highlighting the severity of the issue and causing significant discomfort and distress. * Misleading Hotel Description: The description of The Sens Hotel Cancun provided on your website is highly misleading and inaccurate. The hotel is far from being a 5-star establishment; in our opinion, it barely meets a 4-star standard. Furthermore, the claim that the hotel offers a "relaxing break" is entirely untrue given the issues we experienced. * Lack of Benefits from Sian Ka’an Package: We purchased the Sian Ka’an package as an enhancement to our stay. However, upon check-in, we were not informed of any specific benefits associated with this package, and throughout our holiday, we experienced no discernible advantages. This represents a clear misrepresentation of the value of this add-on. * Poor Staff Service and Room Issues: The staff at the hotel were generally rude and unhelpful. We were required to change our room on three separate occasions due to the unacceptable standard of what was described as a "suite." We found that these "suites" were merely two standard rooms with an adjoining door, which is completely inadequate given the price we paid. Furthermore, we were unexpectedly charged an additional hotel tax upon check-in, which was not clearly communicated during the booking process.
