Fun family resort! San Diego Ca resident. First time at a GWL. Family of 4, with a 6 & 2 yr old, 2 night standard room stay. definitely felt like we should have stayed one more night! Being that we’re often at Disneyland it’s hard for us to measure anything up against Disney. We also visit WDW 1-2 times a year, so our expectations for GWL weren’t up high. WOW, pleasantly surprised! The Arizona location is a fairly new resort, so the rooms and entire hotel is in very new condition. After reading most of the reviews I think the 3 star rating comes from people feeling unhappy with the prices, but the hotel itself is practically new. So I trusted my gut & booked a stay after our Grand Canyon stay. We were definitely planning our next stay at GWL as soon as we got back home. My kids loved it, and my husband and I loved being able to come up and down to our room as needed & getting mid day rest. While also having fun with our kids. The GWL was outstanding, we felt like being at a WDW resort with the level of staff customer care. The rooms were also nicely themed, not overdone like the LEGOLAND hotels which is basically like being in a funhouse room. GWL really does well at keeping the wolf & camping theme throughout without it being overdone. We’re from San Diego so the food etc prices were basically what we are used to seeing in So Cal. I did book a weekday stay so I didn’t pay the outrageous weekend rates. The Wolf pass is definitely worth it if it’s your first time, you’ll get an additional discount in almost all retail purchases just for having it. Breakfast was my only meh moment. It was fine for one morning but definitely they need improvement. It’s a buffet but the food seemed like it had been frozen heated food (except for the made to order omelets/eggs or bacon) MCdonald pancakes are better than theirs. No other offerings like waffles or French toast only the pre frozen silver dollar pancakes. They do offer pastries (but very bland like pre bagged quality pastries) & yogurt, fruit, cereals. Brunch items like macaroni cheese & nuggets for the kids, which helped because they couldn’t eat the chewy pancakes. Overall a fun stay will be back!

Looking forward to another visit Recently stayed and booked a standard room, nothing grand, but met our needs to shower and sleep. Cleanliness 5⭐️ we had clean sheets, comfy beds, always had fresh towels, bathrooms in our room and throughout the hotel were clean, and clean elevators that worked fast! Hospitality 5⭐️everyone was always super nice and helpful. Our first night we had noisy neighbors but the hotel put a stop to it before I had the chance to complain. Convenience 5⭐️ you don’t need to leave the hotel. It’s kid friendly with different activities, they have multiple restaurants for breakfast/lunch/dinner and waterpark passes are included with hotel stay. Breakfast was a bit pricey but its buffet style so if you have big eaters it’s totally worth it and the food was good, my kiddos are one plate and done eaters so we opted for a local IHOP and saved a little. We had dinner at the Barnwood and that was YUMMY! My cons #1 parking should’ve been included if you book a room (or if you book a room for 3+ nights) #2 the pool and hot tub could’ve been warmer so we didn’t get to enjoy the waterpark cause the water was too cold #3 the add on packages are not worth it, all of the activities are super fun but very small/short and not worth the package prices #4 cabanas should be cheaper during off peak season and/or for hotel guests (you don’t have to stay in the hotel to purchase day passes for the water park). Overall we enjoyed our time and are looking forward to our next visit _

Terrible horrible service I am so disappointed in the staff. Their service has gone downhill. I called the local number on Friday for a Sunday check in. I spoke to a man to have him help me with a credit card authorization form since i was working and wouldn’t check in furst guy was nice told me what to put. Then sold me on everything.. well Sunday am I do the texting service to get help with making sure my friends names on it. The message I get is you filled your form out wrong. We need it redone. How can it be wrong? They have no care just seemed like a robot texting. Took over an hr to get it done. Three credit card transactions they did. And still haven’t confirmed us done correct. They may be the only great wolf around but we certainly have other options in Arizona and they clearly do not have customer service skills.., To be told pretty much I’m lying and not solutions.
