Great Wolf Lodge great for families! Our family had an amazing time at Great Wolf Lodge Manteca! The kids were obsessed with the indoor water park the slides, wave pool, and lazy river kept them busy for hours, and it was the perfect mix of fun for all three ages. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious, and having so many activities right inside the resort made the whole stay super convenient. We also loved the MagiQuest game and nightly story time, which gave the whole place that magical ‘Great Wolf’ atmosphere they’re known for. Food is a bit pricey, but that’s expected at a resort. Overall, it’s a perfect family getaway and we’re already talking about planning our next trip.

Mixed Experience at Great Wolf Lodge Our recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the water park and pool area were wonderful—our kids had a great time, and the family-friendly atmosphere there really stood out.
Unfortunately, things took a turn once we got to our room. After unpacking and settling in, we found a roach on the floor. With a 9-month-old baby, this was extremely disappointing and concerning. We immediately called the front desk, and to their credit, they handled the situation quickly and professionally. They moved us to a different room with no questions asked, and their customer service throughout the process was very good.
Even with the prompt response, the experience left us uneasy, and because of that, we likely won’t be staying there again. It’s a great place for kids, but cleanliness is too important to overlook.

Maximize Stay with Early Arrival, Paw Passes, Pizza We've been to a ton of Great Wolf Lodge locations before, and were excited to check out this new-ish one in Manteca. We got a first floor Grizzly Bear Suite room with easy access to all the action, and we really liked the layout of this one with everything being pretty close together )so it was easy to grab food, do some activities, and get back to our room quickly). At any Great Wolf Lodge, we've learned that it's helpful to buy the Paw Passes so the kids get to experience a bunch of different things, and buy a meal plan before you arrive to save money dining on-site. We also like to get there early on our check-in day to enjoy the water park stuff before it gets crowded, and stay the WHOLE day of check-out so we get to really maximize our time. Just pack some extra clothes to change into. The Dunkin Donuts at this location makes it easy to grab an affordable breakfast, and the ice cream shop + pizza is a favorite for our kids. The pizza is really good, and it's an awesome deal, and they even had gluten-free for me, YAY!
