Not worth the expense and safety issues The service at Great Wolf has continued to go down hill. We waited over 20 minutes to check in as there were only two people at the front desk. When we arrived to our room I found hair on the floor and tub of the bathroom and odd stuff on the walls that I cleaned off. And they don't clean the rooms now during your stay. The food overall is really unhealthy and the quality doesn't match the prices of the stay. Usually, I just ignore all this because my child is having a great time and I make the most of it. But we learned during this last trip that security is pretty horrible and we will not return. We paid for lane at the bowling alley and our game began having issues, one of the players were no longer on the screen. Apparently the software is super old and hasn't been updated in 20 years. My child stuck around the lane while I talked to staff to reset the game. When I returned a family took over the lane without saying anything to my son. The mom began yelling at me not to talk to her daughter who looked about 3 or 4 years old while she played in our lane and the father passed her balls to throw. I told her I didn't want to talk to her daughter but to her. I told her that we were still playing a game and she went ballistic. She said there were no pins and I explained that the game was being reset for us. She then got in my face and I told her to step away from me. She then repeatedly told my son and I to, "shut the f*ck up!" I told her to stop using that language but she continued. I asked her husband to stop and he began to talk to me in the same way. I then went to staff and asked them to call security. At that point the family fled. Long story short, security said that they found the family. At first they said they had no tolerance for that behavior but then said they didn't make them leave because they were leaving anyway. SECURITY THEN SAID THE INCIDENT WAS OUR FAULT. The family claimed they were defending their daughter as they didn't like how I talked to her and security said that is why we were spoken to in that manner and I was arguing back with them. I said no, my son and I never spoke to the daughter and I wasn't arguing but asking them to stop verbally abusing us. The more I think about what happened I believe this family knew exactly what they were doing. Their extreme behavior was an effort to scare us into abandoning our paid bowling lane. Not once did security explain why they family had taken over the lane and refused to give it back. Security lacked the basic function of fact finding. There was also video that showed that my son and I did not speak or go near their daughter. This incident left us feeling that GW is not a safe environment and we won't return anytime soon.

Wish I could give 0 stars - HORRIBLE!!!! I stayed at Great Wolf Lodge, and I have to say, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. First of all, the check-in process was a nightmare. I waited in line for an hour just to change the card on file, and even though I went in with cash, I was told they are a cashless establishment—which is fine, but if that's the case, changing a card should have been simple and quick. Despite the fact that families are spending at least $500 per visit, they only had two people checking guests in, and the line was literally out the door. Meanwhile, other staff members were just walking around, and the manager was chatting away with guests instead of helping with the situation. They have these kiosks that are supposed to let you check in using a QR code, but that's completely misleading. You still have to wait in line for someone to check you in. To make things worse, when you finally get to the front, they start upselling you on pass upgrades and other extras, making the check-in process even slower. It’s clear they are seriously understaffed and unorganized. I think it’s ridiculous to make families wait 30 minutes to an hour to check in, especially with kids in tow. Once we got to our room, things went from bad to worse. We walked in and found something on one of the beds—**there was literal feces on the sheets and comforter**. It was absolutely disgusting. We immediately called to have it changed, but the fact that something like that was even possible is beyond unacceptable. For a place where you're paying over $400 a night, you would expect much higher cleanliness standards. If I could give zero stars, I would. To add insult to injury, I lost my ID, which fell out of my waterproof phone case. I immediately reported it, but I was told it wasn’t "serious enough" to check the cameras. Really? Losing an ID isn’t serious when you're from out of state and need it to drive back? They have a big lost-and-found area, but they wouldn't even look unless I filled out their lost-and-found form with exact details. I had just lost it 15 minutes prior, and it still didn’t seem to be a priority for them. The staff’s lack of urgency and attention to detail was maddening. They had all my information on file from check-in, yet still couldn’t help locate my ID without jumping through a bunch of hoops. If you're considering bringing valuable or important items with you to this hotel, **don’t**—because if you lose anything, they won't lift a finger to help you find it unless you fill out all the specific details, and even then, it’s a toss-up. In short, this place is **not worth the money**. Between the painfully slow check-in process, the lack of cleanliness, and the unhelpful staff, my family’s experience at Great Wolf Lodge was one I wouldn't wish on anyone. We spent over $400 for a disgusting, poorly managed stay. If you’re thinking about staying here, I’d strongly recommend you reconsider.

Terrible over all experience Stayed here right after labor day. It was really empty so barely any lines at the water park. My 3yr old had so much fun and slept so well at night. Very easy to get food near the resort or you can get food in the resort too. Prices were average. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were equally as fantastic. The water park staff were a mixed bag. Some life guards were very attentive and enforced the safety rules but their shifts aren't very long and once they change out, another life guard could be totally indifferent and barely pay attention. I saw this happen all 3 days we stayed there. The worst thing I saw was a life guard completely neglect his duty by playing with his plastic glove filled with water instead of watch the catch pool. Another crazy thing was a another kid who was bigger than my 3 yr old, go up to him and grab and shake him. The life guard didn't say anything, despite this happening in front of her. This kid went on to do other dangerous things but I would have hoped the life guard could at least blow her whistle. Others certainly did so when it happened on their watch. Also, the women's showers and bathroom faucets at the water park didn't have any soap in the dispensers. I checked all the stalls. The showers were really gunky and stained at the bottom of the walls and the curtains too. The scanner at the parking lot toll booth was very difficult to use. Everyone had to park, get out of their cars and scan it. Parking was $15/day. Check in was officially at 4pm but we showed up at 12pm and our room was ready. Check out was at a good time, at 11am as well. Late check out was 2pm and cost $69.99 extra. Several weeks after our trip, we discovered that our credit card was charged extra at a dunkin donuts in the hotel. We never used our credit card other than to book the room so it was a fraudulent charge. Also, I tried to contact customer service thru the website's chat function but the service member, Neah was very rude and ended the chat abruptly, even before I finished chatting. Very terrible service.
