Williamsburg, Virginia: Historic Colonial Town

Part of the Historic Triangle of Virginia (along with Jamestown and Yorktown), Williamsburg was the capital of the colony. It played a central role during the American Revolution—American forces gathered here in 1781 to march to Yorktown for the war's final battle. The city pays homage to this patriotic past with a living museum where fifers march in Revolutionary War regalia and costumed actors portray everyday colonists. Historians have carefully preserved and restored dozens of 18th-century structures within the town; buildings of note include the home of George Wythe, the first Virginian to sign the Declaration of Independence. Yorktown Battlefield is to the east; here, park rangers tell the story of the Revolutionary War's final siege.

Very clean. Quiet and comfortable. Stay was with husband and 2 kids. We enjoyed ourselves. Almost didn't want to leave. We will for sure be going again. Next time I am looking forward to participating in more daily activities. The only thing we needed to buy for the place was a bag of ice. Would for sure recommend this place for some family time or alone time.

Beautiful Resort in a Beautiful area of the state I was extremely impressed as we drove into the property for the first time. The architecture of the buildings, the plantings, trees, and grass, the nice roads and sidewalks set the atmosphere for what was to come. Check in was friendly. We had read a few reviews about the rooms not being up to par, but that was not our experience, everything we great. The only sad thing was the heat and humidity kept up from using the balcony during our stay. The proximity to Jamestown and Williamsburg made this the perfect place to stay.

Overall great family vacation Overall a great stay. Pools were nice, great fitness room, and through we did not get to enjoy pickleball, miniature golf or other activities, they looked great too. Room was a bit dated, but clean. Enjoyed the separate bedrooms and bathrooms for our family of four. If you plan to do any laundry, I’d recommend bringing more soap as only one was provided. Also, they are small, so we threw in a load daily so we didn’t have to bring dirty clothes home. Close by to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We got a great bundle deal with the resort that included tickets to both and the water park. Good food and grocery options within 10-15 minutes. Appreciated text communications about any resort issues (weather related closures, WiFi issues). Reasons that we did not give 5 stars was parking was an issue. We came in late our first night, and had to park pretty far away from unit. Struggled at other times during visit to get parking close by also. The walls are thin. We had a first story room, and pretty sure the family above us were running laps or bowling. (I do believe security was called by others in the unit as my kids saw them stop by, which cut the noise down a bit). We could hear the family next to us pretty clearly also. Wi-fi is not that great. We had a hot spot that we used instead. Even our Verizon phone service wasn’t that great. Also, wish they would give Hilton reward points, but I do believe this is in the works. Would stay here again if ever in the area. Made for a great family vacation.

Owners review Great vacation spot but make sure you pack everything you need to cook a good family meal. Pots and pans are minimal and cheap.
