Palm Coast, Florida: Miles of Coast near St. Augustine and Daytona Beach

As one of Florida’s newest cities (it wasn’t incorporated until 1999), it may be easy to overlook Palm Coast in favor of its more famous neighbors, St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. But look a little closer, and you’ll see that the town has its own draws. The coastal city enjoys 70 miles of shores along Florida’s coastline and, within the city itself, over 125 miles of walking and biking trails. Explore the trails at the Washington Oaks Gardens State Park to spot native and exotic plant species and tropical birds, or stroll along the Intracoastal at Waterfront Park to spot dolphins and waterfowl.

Should you choose to make the trek to a larger town, consider taking the 90-minute drive to Orlando. There, you can check out the Kennedy Space Center, the world’s only public space-launch area, where NASA sent shuttles into the stratosphere in front of thousands of spectators.

The resort exceeded my expectations. The location and accommodations were beautiful. The pool was relaxing yet fun for the kids with a water slide and lazy river. Great service with towels and food by the pool. Chair service at the beach! Multiple on site restaurants. Daily cleaning service in our condo was also appreciated. Everything was elegant, fun and top notch. We will be back.

Great Spot in Palm Coast! We enjoyed our return visit to the Hammock. We find the rooms to be spacious and the amenities to be fun and plentiful. The restaurants are great! We love the Atlantic Grill especially when Daniel, the server, is taking care of us. We tried Delfinos this time and enjoyed it - I had the pasta bolognese. My only suggestion would be to portion the pasta with the sauce appropriately. I had a lot more sauce than pasta - our server was wonderful enough to ask if I wanted more pasta and provided it. The pool areas are great. Lobby bar is great throughout the day - in the mornings, the ladies there are excellent and in the evening, a great spot for a drink. We enjoyed our stay and will return hopefully sometime soon.

Not what it used to be nickel and dime you I’m disputing my charges false promises I’m here now with the family. I’m pissed. Waiting for manager to call me. This place consistently goes downhill but yet they consistently raise their prices. COVID-19 or not I understand if they’re short staffed - but the increase in prices is ridiculous given the poor quality Paying 630 per night with the return visitor discount. The room 354 ocean tower B - toilets leaking water on floor / water running in another toilet - floors not cleaned - gold fish and twirler on floor - blood on sheets - no maintenance done whatsoever- shower head clogged and not working there was rusty toilet bowl brush holder next to the toilet filled with water - disgusting. Fans not working TV not hooked up. TheThe entire room was completely unchecked. Dereck calls and they fix some of the items. This is how they maintain stuff??! - when someone complains??!. The patio furniture was peeling - the living room couches were old and uncomfortable- the dining rooms chairs were stained. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable- this was not a relaxing enjoyable vacation. Then we go to the beach to only find out they’re not putting down lounge chairs or umbrellas unless you pay $15 per chair or $15 per umbrella that is absolutely absurd for the amount of money that they charge for this place. We have been here many times before during peak season and this is the worst time I’ve had. Since no one wants to pay for lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach - they all go to the pool area - and now you can’t even get a spot near the pool. Saw many people looking for places to sit and asking if the seats were taken. Today we find 6 chairs in the adult section early this morning - chairs are empty. We sit down about 30 mins later some guy comes over to my daughter and says that we took their spot. ?? Excuses me?! He said they put towels down on the chairs. There weren’t any towels there. Turns out the staff will remove towels from the chairs if you don't have other items in the same area. Sushi bar is closed Monday and Tuesday - mini-golf closes at 6 - why?! This place absolute suks now and is NOTHING like it used to be. The ocean bar soda was flat. Foosball table was old and not maintained. We will not be returning and I will make sure I tell all my family and friends to avoid this place like the plague. Advice to management - tell the owners they failed miserably. I am disputing these chargers and filing with the better business bureaus- you did not live up on your promises like all you advertising states.

Service going downhill, cant guarantee check in time We have had our stay booked for 6 months but i just called to cancel after reading the recent reviews. We are traveling with 3 young kids (ages, 2, 5 & 6). Concerned with the reviews about dirty rooms and faulty toilets. But the reviews i read about the check in procedure is what led me to cancel. Check in is suppose to be at 4pm but some other reviews said they were not allowed to check in until way after 4pm. I called to ask about this a few days before our visit and they informed me b/c i have a 3 bedroom unit they cannot guarantee check in time. I even asked if they could guarantee check in by 10 pm and they told me no guarantees. I am glad i canceled before getting there bc it would have been a nightmare with 3 smalls kids and no room. Very disappointed, reservation clerks did not seem to care or show regard to the reason why i canceled. save your money and spend it a quality resort that will provide the level of treatment most are accustomed to while on vacation.
