Very nice hotel in a great location We flew to Denver to catch Snow Patrol and decided to try the HGI in downtown Denver. We were thrilled by the location which was only 2 blocks from the Paramount Theatre. The location is the hotel is right across from the Convention Center so it's it the middle of everything. We were able to walk to parks, hit a comedy club, Meow Wolf, and many of the fine restaurants in downtown. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very hospitable, and also enjoyed the restaurant/bar in the hotel. Will definitely stay there again.

Misses the Mark of Hilton Standards and Policies This hotel swings and misses on the standards and procedures of the Hilton Brand. Except for taking us in a day early, not much good occurred here. They appear to be short staffed, and lacking in professionalism and customer care. The market is skimpily stocked and limited selection. But they wouldn’t know if cause they don’t have enough people so they have self checkout, but no staff ever checks it. Request for extra pillows was not honored without constant follow up on our part. They don’t know or check to see if these things are done ahead of time. Don’t bother with the digital key system, as it won’t get you in the garage, and you can’t use it on any exterior door or to enter the building from the garage. This is in direct conflict with the Hilton Program, as outlined on the app. However, this hotel doesn’t care and will victim blame you if you try to use it like every other Hilton in the system. You must get a physical key and always have it with you. If you forget, you will get stuck in the garage with no way to enter the building, but worse yet, no way to exit. And if you complain, or get upset, they will tell you “you should have known better” and are not sympathetic you have been inconvenienced and frightened. Parking is very expensive, $47 each night for self parking is egregious. Even with a $10 per day for and beverage credit (gold elite or higher) you will still be out $12 for a mediocre buffet breakfast with no service until they ask for money. The restaurant and bar are expensive, about 30% higher than the average hotel, and it too is understaffed. One staff to tend bar, and wait on all tables. Totally not fair to the bartender, though the blonde female bartender was on point and friendly. I cannot fully express how inconvenienced and disappointed I was with this hotel, except for being adjacent to the convention center. If I ever have the misfortune of visiting Denver again, there are many other options for lodging that are not the Hilton Garden Inn. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN, and hope you never have too.

5 Stars I attended a conference in Denver and was very pleased with my stay. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the varying hotel amenities and was happy with the view and proximity to 16th street mall, local restaurants, and local attractions.
