Cottage was misrepresented When we checked in today we were told that we had been moved to a cottage as there were no ocean view rooms available. She assured us that our cottage had a view of the ocean and that we could walk right out to the beach. I was excited until we got to the room, and I couldn’t see the beach in any direction .I couldn’t even tell where it was. We have a playground directly in front of our cottage that fully obscures the beach, and we must walk across the playground and a road to get to the sand. There is no view at all. The room is old with dirty or stained baseboards and old furniture and bathroom fixtures. It was totally misrepresented as a beach front cottage. The space actually makes me sad, and I can’t wait to check out.

Great time. Quick trip. Had a good time here. First of all, we had never been to Kauai. It is pretty small so nothing is very far away that we ever drove to. We arrived after a flight and in the evening. The open air check in desks in Hawaii are always so cool. The resort isn't the fanciest that you could book on the island, but it had what we needed. It was a budget priced resort for the island. We took a boat tour that we booked from the concierge on the first day. The 2nd day we did the lei class and swam in the protected ocean area that is on the public beach in front of the playground. We didn't swim in the hotel pools. We stayed in a cottage and there is the greatest playground right in front of them. Alas, I was with my college kid so we've outgrown those. It would be such a great unbeatable location for a family with younger children to stay for a week with the ocean, pool, and local public park right out your door. The restaurant was good for breakfast and we ate in Kapaa for other meals.

Nice Stay We stayed for 2 nights before moving on to Princeville: 1. Staff was friendly and professional. 2. King room with view - clean and comfortable. Larger than I expected. It was cleaned daily. 3. Gym was small and cramped when more than 4 people were exercising. For a Hilton brand, I would expect a larger gym with more machines. 4. Pools were small and never seemed crowded. 5. Mamahune's Tiki Bar was probably the best thing about the hotel. We ate there both nights. There was also live music both nights, and a delightful hula show on one night. 6. I definitely enjoyed the proximity to the beach. 7. There is a charge for parking per night which I feel should be waived or reduced for Hilton Honors members.

First time in Kauai Upon our arrival, we were so excited to be the first time in Kauai. But once we got to our room, thinking we were going to have a kitchenette, no kitchenette. Not only there was no kitchennette but phones were not working upon arrival and once we got our room we asked to have an upgrade which was not possible. I’m sorry but for the money this Hilton hotel is asking for does not make sense for what they are charging.. All rooms need to be more cleaner, those carpets need to go and the cleaning should be done in a better manner. Ex. They need to clean, ceilings, behind beds and make sure everything is in tip top shape. As well as we were charged for parking per day which clearly states parking is free as well as wifi and tv which was never working.. Ohh the body soap im sorry but they could of done much better with that.. Sorry but this is the last time we will be there. Instead of giving us a complimentary voucher for a breakfast or supper for not being able to meet our needs as clients. Ohhh also when you look on their site it says free parkingg ohh which we were charged with.. Veryyy unprofessional.. __

Stay away Ants in room. Weird smell in room. I complained each day. On the last day of our stay, they offered to move me. Why bother at that point? The room smelled like a mixture of wet dog, old people and mildew. There were ants everywhere. And no, I did not eat in the room or do anything to cause/attract ants. This place was not up to Hilton standards. I would not recommend this location to anyone. The “big pool” was closed down for two days.
