A great hotel for my son and I. I had the chance to stay at this lovely hotel with my son on a trip to SF. They had a delicious breakfast and the staff was very cordial. Nathan checked us in and gave us a few recommendations in the area that were great. I would love to go back to this hotel some day.

A Lovingly Managed Boutique Hotel Near SoMa I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Garrett in San Francisco, and I can highly recommend it! It’s a small but charming hotel, managed with great care and attention, and ideally located in South of Market (SoMa). Many attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas are within easy walking distance. The entire hotel is well-maintained and inviting. However, what truly sets this place apart is its outstanding staff. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and professional, but a special shout-out goes to Tevin at the front desk! He was incredibly attentive, always had great recommendations, and made sure every guest felt genuinely welcome. Thanks to him, I felt at home from the moment I arrived. If you’re looking for a cozy, clean, and warmly managed hotel in San Francisco, Hotel Garrett is an excellent choice!

A practical hotel that provides good value and service. The Garrett or Good Hotel is on 7th Street in San Francisco and adjacent to it's sister properties the Fiona and The Soma House. I've yet to check out the other properties, but Nathan who checked me in gave me the scoop. He was super informative, friendly, and told me he loved his job which is always a good sign when staying at hotels as much as I do. The Hotel is clean, somewhat dated, but the decor helps and the property is located on the out skirts of the Tenderloin, but super convenient to access public transportation. I booked a king bed room, but was upgraded because I got a whiff of smoke in the other room and Nathan changed my room. I booked on a third party site and got my room for around $100 per night and I think I got some airline points thrown in, as I won't mention the airline, but 3000 points helped my decision to stay here. There's a foosball table in the lobby, continental breakfast served in the morning, and you get access to the fitness center, and heated pool across the street at the Soma House.

Do not book if you are female I am giving them two stars. I’d give four stars for the staff but one or zero stars for the area. Unfortunately the homeless/drug population was scary. We were two young females and were walking to the Moscone Center for a conference. It was not safe. The staff was very kind and helpful. Area terrible.
