Awesome Stay We are from Melbourne and had not been back since COVID and chose a "fun" hotel over super practical. (We could have stayed closer to family we were going to see and chosen a property that provided free breakfast.) The Melby did not disappoint! It was fantastic from the minute we stepped into the lobby. The staff was well trained, professional, pleasant and helpful. Not even exaggerating. I have worked in the industry and therefore makes me more critical than some. The Melby staff, accommodations and "fun-awesome" factor was off the chart. The rooftop views were stunning. We chose the less expensive room with a "city view" on the front side of the building, you could see the water also. Win-Win. I will stay here again!

Outstanding experience at The Melby!!! We had the pleasure of staying at The Melby during the hurricane. We would never have known that there was a huge weather event happening. Service was still fabulous with everything going on. From the Valet to the Front Desk reception to the restaurant to the cafe shop, everyone was outstanding Cat greeted us and was with us through the entire. Her hospitality was 5 stars. Larry and Chas in the restaurant were so great during a very busy evening dinner. Huge kudos to Jackie and Sara from Foxtail who stayed over so that they could take care of customers the next day they were outstanding!!! I will recommend all my local friends and out-of-town friends to stay at the Melby and I look forward to staying there in the future

Great hotel w Amazing Staff Having stayed in nearly every hotel across Melbourne (I travel here frequently for work), I can confidently say Melby Hotel stands out as the best, and it’s all thanks to its outstanding staff. Cat, Collin, and Lorin have consistently made me feel genuinely welcome with their warm hospitality. The team’s dedication to guest comfort and service excellence truly sets this hotel apart. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Melbourne!

Sweetest staff!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Thank you Jose and Francisco, David, Kim basically the entire staff. The room was cooled for me, the staff is amazing. I wish I had a reason to travel to Melbourne more often. I am touched by how well I was treated. Thank you for making my day/month!

Rude front desk Just checked out this morning and the man at the front desk told me I had parking charges for my full stay. I explained I had only used their garage on my first night at $24.00 a night. He asked who I talked to and I told him the valet and before I could finish he told me that wasn’t an effective means of communication! I told him I also told the front desk that I would be parking in the public areas and he told me that was between me and the City. Just bizarre and rude. He then went through paperwork and finally agreed I hadn’t used their parking garage and credited my account. The AC unit in my room was very loud. The rooftop bar and restaurant had a lovely view of the river, food was typical bar food. They need a friendlier front desk a smile and good attitude go along way. Won’t be returning.
