Will be staying at the Holiday Inn next time. I was shocked how bad our experience was at this hotel. It started with the struggle to get our luggage into the building because of the entrance. The staff did not offer help nor did they direct us to the correct elevator. The walls in our room were so thing that I could not only hear a child screaming in the next room, but I could hear her family singing her to sleep. I couldn’t shut the door to the bedroom because the air conditioner didn’t work in the part of the suite. We also found the service in the restaurant to be unhelpful and poorly trained. I can’t imagine how they manage this property during a busy weekend.

Lovely little hotel This is a lovely little hotel my room 221 was beautiful I left my makeup remover and thankfully they had makeup remover wipes in the room the dressing gowns were beautiful, the pillows could do with updating as they were a bit uncomfortable but the hotel all in all is really lovely they have three restaurants I used the tavern which was nice and effingtons for a pizza to take to the room. Nice clean and friendly

Nice hotel with a few quirks At first we were thrilled with this hotel. We liked our room, bathroom and loved the shower. The person who checked us in told us all three restaurants in the hotel were closed Sunday evenings and gave us recommendations for restaurants nearby. This wasn’t true as we found the Effingham was open when we returned from eating elsewhere. Our room was nice except the design of the footboard on the bed…we both had bruised shins when we left. _ The A/C did not work properly. We set it as low as it would go which was 64 and we were too hot during the night. At home we sleep with the thermostat at 73 with no issues. Yes, we would stay here again being wary of the footboard and reporting the A/C if an issue.
