Great Spring Break Stay We stayed at Hyatt Centric Old Town for a week and had an awesome experience. Service was awesome - everyone, especially Angela, was super warm and helpful. Rooms were well equipped, clean and modern. Location is fabulous. Short walk to the metro and to all the shops and restaurants in Old Town. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Nightmare experience Terrible experience. We arrived to discover that our room has been canceled due to a maintenance issue. The lady behind the desk was talking to her sister on the phone about her upcoming vacation, but said I was out of luck on them helping me find other arrangements due to their hotels issue. This was absolutely bizarre and the worst experience you can imagine when you fly in from across the country and the entire city is sold out for cherry blossom festival. She said that someone should have called us, but no one had. She said since we booked through Expedia, Hyatt would not help us find another hotel to stay at even though the issue was their problem. This is the biggest bunch of crap I’ve ever experienced. Directly across the street is the Hampton Inn and a fantastic staff that was willing to help us even though we were not booked at their hotel. I walked in over there and Betty made us feel like family and provided us a cup of coffee and snack snacks while we searched for a hotel because their hotel was also booked up. She even made calls to other hotels on our behalf, something, the Hyatt should’ve done. My recommendation is to not stay at this location unless you really like poor service. I’m writing the corporate headquarters of Hyatt to complain as well. You shouldn’t be able to treat customers that way. Especially when they are depending on them after you fly across the country to experience one of the busiest weeks in Washington DC.
