Atlanta, Georgia: Urban Parks and Renowned Aquarium in Capital of the South

Named 1 of 50 Places of a Lifetime by National Geographic, Atlanta lies near the Chattahoochee River in Georgia's northwest region known for its famed trees: magnolias, pines, and dogwoods. Despite a metropolitan population of more than five million and what is considered the world's busiest airport by passenger count, Atlanta seems to always offer a relaxing escape. Stroll through the 185 acres of botanical gardens, hiking trails, and oaks at Piedmont Park, or study one of the country's largest Civil War exhibitions at the Atlanta History Center.

Anchored by historical Peachtree Street, the city's midtown area boasts a thriving arts-and-culture scene. Opened in 1929, the Fox Theatre features imposing Egyptian architecture and a custom-made organ with a network of 3,622 pipes. Tours take place on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. The High Museum of Art spotlights more than 12,000 pieces of contemporary and folk art, ranging from Renaissance paintings to photographs from the civil-rights era. Kids might better enjoy the Georgia Aquarium, located downtown at Centennial Olympic Park. One of the world's largest aquariums with more than 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water and more than 100,000 animals, the aquarium is home to beluga whales, lionfish, whale sharks, bottlenose dolphins, and more.

Cannot Get My Bonus Points X 2!!!!! I'm writing to express my frustration regarding the bonus points I did not receive for the second time during my stay at Hyatt Place. It has become increasingly difficult to stay loyal to Hyatt when I have to continuously fight for the points I’ve earned, only to find myself at a disadvantage. The rules surrounding the rewards program seem overly complicated, and it’s particularly frustrating that I lose out on points if I don’t book directly through Hyatt. To make matters worse, third-party bookings often offer better prices than booking directly with Hyatt. It feels counterintuitive to spend more by booking directly, just to earn bonus points—especially when third-party reservations provide better rates.

It's definitely a great choice overall!! Guest services was awesome. Always professional and greeting you. Very accommodating. Parking was free for guests. Hotel was in walking distance of everything. The mall is right beside it and a shopping center across the street. Stay included a free HOT breakfast buffet. The potatoes were not too good, though, nor were the apple and orange juices. Overall... AWESOME stay. Will definitely stay again!!

Nice but probably wouldn’t stay again… The hotel is nice overall and in a nice location. Parking is $18 right outside the hotel but if you park near the Macys it’s free (few feet away). My heat stopped working around 5am in 19 degree weather (it was blowing cold air!). Front desk stated there wasn’t a tech available and nothing they could do. I warmed myself with the blow dryer enough to shower and checkout 5 hours earlier than I expected. Breakfast was cold and there was a very inconsiderate guest open mouth coughing all over everything. Another guest discarded everything and reported it to staff but it took a while for them to replace it. There was no syrup for the waffles. Juice was room temp and no ice. Just an overall lack luster experience. Hopefully other guests have a better experience there’s lots of potential.
